Purifying A Dark Heart
Who: Solar Flare, Someone Else, and those who would help
When: Sometime in the near future
Where: Trial Area
[The day was probably a bit worrying for those who wandered in the lounge. Because there was a couch turned completely to ash in front of the television. Considering the fiery Solar Flare whose also been missing, perhaps something of concern.]
[And then there is a call for another trial.]
[When people arrive, a memory plays]
[And when it fades away, everyone will find themselves in what looks to be an underground castle, with cavernous ceilings, but pillars and ornate statues of ponies, and a dias at the other end of the area. Despite the ominous feel of such structures, there is also light. There are crystals, in a rainbow of colors, all littered around the place, growing from the ceiling to the floor, radiating a gentle warmth.]
[On the dias seems to be what looks like a throne, except stretched out like a couch, leaving plenty of room for where Solar Flare is, still in her demon glory, but she isn't awake. And she's looking a little worse for wear, with dark shard piercing through her body, veins of dark energy seeping out of them, but strangest of all is the dark shards floating around her necklace. The one she always wears with her Cutie Mark, held back by the glowing light radiating from it, seeming to hold the dark energy in stasis.]
[Solar Flare is not alone on the throne though. There is what seems to be Twilight Sparkle. Except she's partially transparent, sparkling, and slightly glowing. She has Solar Flare's head in her lap, stroking her hair with concern.]
[She looks up at those who arrive.]
I require assistance to save Sunset Shimmer. Solar Flare.

BOND - Let's get ready to Grandstand!
Who: Roxas and fellow Grandstanders
When: Day 64, morning into afternoon since he can do this for a while...
Where: Gym
Well, someone had decided he was sick of sulking over whatever was wrong with Solar Flare and has set out to do what he should have been doing since he got here. Mainly concentrating on generating sparks so they could purify this star and get another step closer toward rescuing their friends.
So he's traded some of his recent trial sparks for a fairly sturdy ball, which he's brought into the gym. He heads for the the section of the gym where there's a good bit of wall to work with before setting the ball down. An instant later, he summons both his Keyblades and uses the tip of one to fling the ball into the air before catching its descent with the other Keyblade and knocking the ball up again. He's probably going to keep repeat this pattern until people start to enter or walk by the gym.
When they do, he'll call to them, doing his best to not lose sight of the ball and maybe even bounce it off one of the walls to buy himself some more time before giving it another hefty tap upward. He'll even offer an encouraging smile.
"Want to give it a try? It's something a friend taught me a while back. The trick is to see how long you can keep the ball from touching the ground. It's allowed to touch anything else though. Well, except for other people since that might get dangerous.
It's a lot harder than it looks, but it's fun too. So I figured it should count for the play thing Clover does. It's like... training. While bonding at the same time. "
He gestures toward the available practice weapons with his head, as he strikes the ball again. "You can probably use some of those to keep it in the air. Just make sure you don't hit it too hard or you'll lose control."

The Thirtieth Trial
Who: Trial players
When: Day 63, morning
Where: Trial zone
[The trial zone doesn't exactly appear to be inthe best shape. It's the ruins of an old building, something once grand, perhaps a castle, with a strange statue of sorts with six spheres leading to a large seventh on a pedestal. It's possible t see a forest beyond the walls, though find a way out to that seems impossible, and plants have overgrown almost everything.]
[On the statue's pedestal is an inscription:
Three tribes that brought a storm,
Winter brought them to task.
Eventually things would become warm,
What in return did springtime ask?]
[Not so far beyond it appears to be stairs leading down into the earth. And to the side of that is a throne.]
[And on the throne is....someone new in Senna colors? Though perhaps the hair is enough of a give away. Though those with a keen eye may yet notice she's still wearing her geode still, with the distinctive cutie mark still on it.]
[She's lounged across the throne, legs kicked over one side, elbow resting on the other, head in hand.]
I'm bored. [And she offers a grin that has a dangerous glint to it.]
How about we play a game?

BOND Cooking for Friends~
Who: That Blue Kid from Senna and EVERYONE
When: Day 62, mid morning into afternoon
Where: The public Lounge Car, kitchens and dining area
[Baby's first attempt at a Bond! He's quite excited but also at first was at a loss; what could he do to actually help the cause (and win his team some points)? It came to him after getting sick twice after eating as much sugar grass and brownie turf as he could stuff in his face. Why didn't he cook something for everyone? That would bring people warmth, and he could make something that could be safely eaten and enjoyed.]
[Parsnip soup. He couldn't remember how he knew how to make it, or why it sounded so appealing, or much anything beyond that it was good, but he wasn't going to let that get him down. After swiping some parsnips from the Garden car (and an onion and some garlic to taste, along with a handful of several fruits for a treat afterwards) he started to let himself get a little lost in the modern equipment. Now, he knew he needed to crush the parsnips but where would he find a large enough mortar and pestle...?]
[Once the soup is done (and the kitchen is an utter tip from his utter failure at corralling the chaos during the process) he serves it up along with a pretty bowl to hold the fruit and offers it up to anyone stopping by for a warm meal.]
Meal times should be a time shared with everyone, don't you think? [And he offers a bright smile.]
[[[OOC: Feel free to pop in and help him in the cooking process or share some delicious soup and conversation afterward. Or maybe even help him clean up at the end, as he may try and run away without being prompted.]]]

The Twenty-Eighth Trial
Who: trialgoers
When: Day 60 all day
Where: the trial zone and elsewhere
[Sometime this morning (morning? there's still no sun, so what's the difference), you feel the call to a new Trial.
The entrance to the Trial Zone is a new one: a tower has sprung up in the clearing, like a bit of a fairytale castle. It's made of a sparkling pink granite and has lovely star-themed carvings -- if you can see them behind the excess of neon and lights its been decorated with. If the fairy godmother made a dance club, this would be it!
Rather than a disembodied "come hither", your call is a video on a big screen above the entrance -- a young man in a masquerade mask and a flashy, witchy costume (including a big hat) stands... on top of the tower?? It's hard to see up there, but on the screen you can tell he's got twinkly star-filled hair and a black cat with blue eyes perched on his shoulder. He's also striking a pose.]
Heroes of Distant Stars, gather 'round! I, the mysterious and handsome witch of love, have a Trial for you! Come into my party tower and prove your love to me! If you're not a weenie, that is...
[Upon entering the tower, you find yourself in a vast ballroom. Lit with rainbow lights, magic sparkles, and an excess of blacklights and glowing things, it really does look like a club. Bubbly electronic pop blares over the speakers, though there are several tables and curtained-off booths if you'd prefer to avoid the dance floor. One table includes infinitely re-filling glasses of fruity soda, which lower inhibitions incrementally as you consume them (though only for positive urges). If you wish to get even more in the mood, there's a changing room with costumes -- all hybrids of fantasy and neon pop, just like the decor.
Time to get your love on!]

Who: everyone
When: Day 59, evening
Where: near the Aurora
[As evening closes in, with the candy hearts and decorations still around, the train is assaulted by... a smell.
An awful smell, like mold and rot, that drifts down the honey river from the spring deeper into the plateau, preceded by a wave of fleeing eels. The river changes from golden to a sickly greenish black sludge and rises, beginning to spill over its banks.
Everywhere the sludge spills, tendrils of stick black "candy" grow, looking somewhere between weeds and tentacles. They move, and reach out hungrily towards you. If they catch you they'll cling to you, covering you in sludge and minor scrapes, though they don't seem able to do much more harm than that. Anyone touched by sludge will feel unbearably lonely, and find themselves either unable to lie or unable to tell the truth. Which depends on the person, though it's more likely to be whichever urge is more foreign to the individual.
The sludge is hard to remove. In fact, it'll only come off when washed by someone else's hands...
On the bright side, the river will clear and the weeds will disappear by morning, so hang in there!]

[This round's newbies are waking up in their rooms, in the usual nondescript undies or team pyjamas. They'll get their basic welcome message and a prompt to view the IC Guide.
As you go out to greet them, you might find that the entire train has been decorated! By whom is not readily apparent, but there's streamers and heart-shaped balloons adorning all the hallways and many of the additional cars besides which. It's festive!
You know what else is festive? The candy hearts sitting in bowls around the place. They all have generic, cute messages on them like "I ♥ You," "Be Mine," "Text Me," "Forever," etc. Try one out! Though you might find they carry some effects when you try one out....
♥ Pink Hearts These hearts will cause an empathetic bond! For the next few minutes/hours/rest of the thread, you'll find yourself connected with the nearest person in arguably the most intimate of ways....
♡ White Hearts You just can't help it after you chomp down on one of these hearts-- you've got a song on your lips bursting to come out! You may even feel up for dancing. Go forth and be your best, most musical sellf!
♥ Green Hearts You know what that person you're talking to RIGHT NOW needs? A hug!!! At least, that's the urge you'll get the moment you pop a green heart into your mouth. Although handholding also seems to get rid of the compulsion, so hey, there's options!
♡ Blue Hearts The very next thing you say after you eat one of these bad boys comes out in poem form! It doesn't have to be good poetry, mind you. Limericks, haikus, anything goes! At least it's mercifully brief?
And so it goes. Enjoy your icebreaker and make that fresh meat feel welcome!]

[[OOC NOTES: As the monthly prompt, the candy hearts will continue until next month's placements. If you have any questions, please ping the mods via the q&a. Thank you!]]

The Twenty-Seventh Trial: Endgame
Who: heart runners etc
When: Day 58, evening
Where: around
[After several hours of exploring, everyone is booted from the hearts they're in, finding themselves back in the trial clearing. Nearby, the red spider lilies in the portraits die away, the subjects open their eyes -- and the portraits disappear in clouds of black mist.
In the sky, new stars in the colours of Thyme, Jasmine, & Licorice are shining.
The ominous voice doesn't comment, but the sleeping heroes are now waking. Whether they remember what went on in their hearts is up to their players, but either way, surely what you did had some impact on them.
Although... you get the feeling that something isn't quite settled. It's a shame there's no way to confirm it.]

The Twenty-Seventh Trial
Who: Hearts + Players
When: ?? [to be slotted into the timeline after hearts are closed]
Where: The Trial Zone
[It's evening when a strange noise like cracking ice comes over the clearing. Somewhere in the Aurora, several seemingly random heroes fall unconscious where they stand, their bodies oddly drained of colour -- greyscale, with no life to them. Their vital signs appear fine, but even taking them to a healing pod will have no effect.
At the same time, in the clearing, several life-size portraits appear, floating in mid-air. They each depict one of the unconscious heroes, lying in sleep surrounded in red spider lilies. They seem, somehow, more alive in the portraits than in their real bodies.
A voice rings out over the clearing and the train, and not one you've heard before. It's distorted and raspy, shifting in pitch and depth and never sounding like quite the same person for more than a word.]
What is the value of a Ⴆσɳԃ?
Do you really ӄռօա eachother at all?
If you do, prove it... or l̸͓̤̙̈́̍ọ̸̓̈́ş̴̥̲̀ē̴̡͇͍̣̫̬̬̗̤̎̉̆̔̓̑ ̴̝̤̎̂̐i̸̡̢̮̟͒̌̀͗͝͝t̸̫̻̪̮̲̉͗͊̄͐͊̓͘
[The puzzle is clear -- somehow, you must prove your understanding of one another to restore the sleeping heroes. You'll find out how if you touch a portrait -- upon the slightest touch, you find yourself in a strange world crafted from the very heart of the subject. Those asleep may even find themselves in someone else's heart with no explanation at all!
Your specific goal may be unclear, but be careful! You're meddling in someone's mind, after all. You may find a necessary truth, but your actions may also... change something.]
[[NOTES: If you are running a heart, please link it in a toplevel in this post. Hearts should be run in an entry on your character's journal. Sign-ups and guidelines are here.
After you have completed all scored runs, please turn in your scores here. Turn-in is due by 11:59pm on February 12, but you are welcome to keep playing without scoring as long as you want.
Hearts will be slotted into the timeline when they're done, so please feel free to make other posts in the meantime!]]
