INFORMATION - do not reply here
SESSION 1 (2PM PST)
There are no IC instructions at all. At all! Characters will just wake up, and it'll be their job to figure out what's going on and what they have to do. They will not automatically know who's body they're in, and players are free to play with disconcertion, struggles to adjust, etc etc.
OOC INFO
Note on magic, powers, etc: If you're playing a character who's magic is tied to their soul, it doesn't mean that it's compatible with the body and you will not be able to use it for the duration of the game.
Exploration: Please ping the runner when you enter an unexplored room so we can post the top-level. The more you explore, the more points you earn! Keep track of how many rooms you've been in. While exploring, you may be prompted to make dice rolls; you can type "roll 1D4" (change the number as appropriate) into Google for this. Please DO NOT use Discord's dice bot. Make sure you note your result somewhere in your comment - I'm trusting everyone to play fair.
Items: As you move throughout the map, you may uncover strange (and maybe even useful!) items. If you drop or leave an item behind somewhere, please let the runner know. Additionally, bonus points will be awarded to those who find key items.
Enemies: Dangers lurk throughout the map, and you may find yourself in distress! Injury is quite possible. Please note (OOCly!) that no injuries or changes will last beyond endgame.
Escape: The primary objective is to find your way to freedom.
Who are you all, anyway? So, this is a bodyswap! As usual with these games, I've asked everyone to make their "anonymous" journals. Characters will be unable to say their real name and team, unless another character correctly guesses it first. HOWEVER, characters will have no IC reason to lie/pretend unless they just feel like messing with people.
Only the first correct guess of someone's identity counts for points. You can guess as many characters' identities as you want, and will not be penalised for incorrect guesses. However, if someone else guessed an identity first, you don't get points for figuring it out second.
Here's an example:
Ben, Jerry, Cookie, and Dough are playing in session 1.
Jerry correctly figures out Dough's identity! Jerry earns a point, and Dough can say their own name again.
Ten minutes later, Cookie, who immediately went off on their own, wonders out loud if [x's body] is actually Dough. Cookie is correct but does not earn a point. (Only the first correct guess counts.)
Ben, who also wandered off alone at the start, wonders out loud if [y's body] is actually Cookie. They are correct and earn a point.
I realise that splitting the trial into sessions may make some things exceedingly obvious OOCly. Please, please keep IC/OOC separate!
QUESTIONS & JOURNALS
Re: QUESTIONS & JOURNALS
Since Loki's magic is tied to his mental abilities and training rather than his physical body, he should have his illusions. Would he be able to put an illusion of his preferred appearance over his switched body, only after someone guessed his identity, or not at all?
Re: QUESTIONS & JOURNALS
If the body he's in doesn't have magic or powers along those lines, he shouldn't be able to use them during the bodyswap.
