The Twenty-Seventh Trial
Who: Hearts + Players
When: ?? [to be slotted into the timeline after hearts are closed]
Where: The Trial Zone
[It's evening when a strange noise like cracking ice comes over the clearing. Somewhere in the Aurora, several seemingly random heroes fall unconscious where they stand, their bodies oddly drained of colour -- greyscale, with no life to them. Their vital signs appear fine, but even taking them to a healing pod will have no effect.
At the same time, in the clearing, several life-size portraits appear, floating in mid-air. They each depict one of the unconscious heroes, lying in sleep surrounded in red spider lilies. They seem, somehow, more alive in the portraits than in their real bodies.
A voice rings out over the clearing and the train, and not one you've heard before. It's distorted and raspy, shifting in pitch and depth and never sounding like quite the same person for more than a word.]
What is the value of a Ⴆσɳԃ?
Do you really ӄռօա eachother at all?
If you do, prove it... or l̸͓̤̙̈́̍ọ̸̓̈́ş̴̥̲̀ē̴̡͇͍̣̫̬̬̗̤̎̉̆̔̓̑ ̴̝̤̎̂̐i̸̡̢̮̟͒̌̀͗͝͝t̸̫̻̪̮̲̉͗͊̄͐͊̓͘
[The puzzle is clear -- somehow, you must prove your understanding of one another to restore the sleeping heroes. You'll find out how if you touch a portrait -- upon the slightest touch, you find yourself in a strange world crafted from the very heart of the subject. Those asleep may even find themselves in someone else's heart with no explanation at all!
Your specific goal may be unclear, but be careful! You're meddling in someone's mind, after all. You may find a necessary truth, but your actions may also... change something.]
[[NOTES: If you are running a heart, please link it in a toplevel in this post. Hearts should be run in an entry on your character's journal. Sign-ups and guidelines are here.
After you have completed all scored runs, please turn in your scores here. Turn-in is due by 11:59pm on February 12, but you are welcome to keep playing without scoring as long as you want.
Hearts will be slotted into the timeline when they're done, so please feel free to make other posts in the meantime!]]

TURN-IN
As a reminder, you should score each player's run from 1 to 10 based on how close they got to your chosen goal. Scored sessions should be single sit-down sessions. They can go over or under the 3-5 hour suggestion if required, but in the name of fairness if someone is playing all week they can only be scored for the first session.
Please let us know each individual person's score, so we can average the teams out in the end! Thank you!
