welcome to the jungle we've got fun and games
Who: Y'all
When: Day 8 noonish
Where: THE JUNGLE
[So there is a mostly unexplored jungle out there.
It seems like a good day to explore it, eh?
Please look out for:
Venomous snakes, the smaller ones will leave you fevered and nauseas, the larger may stop your heart.
Spores, inhaling them can leave you with mild to severe continuing hallucinations
Pollen, it may make you sneeze.
Dark shadows in the undergrowth, that seem to whisper as you pass. In familiar voices...? Or that's just the wind.
Vicious monsters. They want to eat you.
And look out, if you go exploring, because halfway through your adventure the sky seems to open up and pour on you, try to find a safe shelter--if that exists in the jungle.
For those of you not inclined to explore well, you may see lights in the jungle, little wisps, of light in the growth, or maybe it's your team colors you see? The more you look the more you feel practically compelled to follow those lights and flashes of something familiar....
Maybe you get caught by the jungle's dangers, trapped in a cave by the downpour, or maybe you make it to an odd break around a still pond, the surface so smooth it's almost like a mirror. If you look in, your reflection looks back. And it smiles at you.
And if you make it this far, if you look deep into your reflection and let it stare back, you might find yourself leaning down, towards it--hopefully you have a companion to pull you back before pale arms reach to pull you in and drown you.
Even if you're pulled back from the glass pool, a strange dread lingers with you for a while. And the urge to be near others is incredibly strong. Be it their presence or their touch you crave, you need reassurance.
((OOC: Explore, use this an excuse for wet huddling together in a cave while hallucinating, get cool new scars from fighting beasts, encounter the glassy pool, or whatever! Grab a buddy, have a good(?) time.))]

she is, however, absolutely inclined to go outside at the sound of the rain starting to come down, because while she is genre savvy she never claimed to have common sense. besides, playing in the rain is fun! ...or would be if, you know. senna's default uniform didn't involve a white blouse. so. there's a bright blue wet rat huddled up somewhere with her knees drawn up to her chest in an attempt to preserve her modesty, all but vibrating in embarrassment. ]

Not.
Instead, he's gone out for a breather. However, it's not easy to fly in a jungle, so he's hardly actually done any flying; only enough to flit his way up into a lower branch to perch on. And watch everyone suffer with the vicious creatures. ]
You should reconsider that direction.

He was following lights but he tripped so now he's muddy and covered in a weird slightly sticky pollen that's making his face itch.
As you approach, a snake drops from a branch down beside him. But he doesn't notice, because he's going into a sneezing fit.]

and then, as she's going, she hears the voices. logic dictates it's a trick, she knows that it is, but she can't risk the slim chance that it isn't - she breaks into a dash in pursuit of the source, and just.
slams right into you. fortunately she isn't especially big. ]
B: [ all of this but instead you meet her a little later on, as she's taking shelter from the rain at the pond, staring at her reflection oddly... intently? ]
A.
Tabby was actually levitating, so she tumbles back through the air before grabbing a tree.
She looks a bit out of it, squinting to try to make out Elaine among shifting colors and patterns.]

You may hear some hissing in the distance and if you part some leaves you can see her in the middle of a...actually a lot of fucking snakes! None of them are touching her, but they are around her. They seem content. She is holding one by the head and squeezing it over a glass covered with some sort of film?]
Do not attack.
[Her voice is calm.]
2. [whoosh sPORES ARE EVERYWHERE! SPORE PARTY! POSSIBLY A DANCE PARTY IF YOU'RE STAYING A WHILE TO HALLUCINATE.]
You may wish to leave.
[she seem ok tho]
3. [A chorus of low menacing growls rumbles in the near distance and 80H is up against a pack of six-eyed, horned sabertooth tigers. She is wielding no weapon, but her stance is relaxed, but alert.]

Fuck, that's stupid. Okay.
Emilia sits in the clearing near the train, sewing a pair of gloves that appear identical to the one she's already wearing with a strange, curved needle. Beside her is as much of the content of the clinic car as she deemed practical to move.
Got fucked up in the woods? Here's the First Aid station.
A violet light floats by her. She looks at it like it just goosed her. Go the hell away you little creep.]

but the glimpse of pink wasn't so far into the jungle that he couldn't at least try to see what they were doing. maybe try to intervene if it seemed particularly ill-informed. if they went any farther he didn't necessarily have to put his skin on the line.... is what he told himself, but
then he became lost. which really shouldn't have been possible as he was certain he hadn't wandered too far, but now...
now he is far too deep into the jungle to get his bearings, and the foliage above is so thick that he cannot even see the sky and,
he just. ends up. sitting down. not on the ground at least, on some overturned overgrown tree trunk. next to a pond. and waits.
he hasn't given up, really. (he might have given up a little bit) ]
OPTIONAL?:
[ at some point he may actually just get tired of waiting around looking for anyone to find him... or rather, he starts to get curious. maybe it's the distinct feeling that someone... or something is watching him, but he starts to wander towards the pond. at first glance the water at least looks safer than the black mess that passes itself as an ocean in this world... and he kneels down to get a closer look.
he's just about to reach out, to test the still water with the tip of a finger, when he stops-- his reflection... is smiling at him?
not just smiling. but at him. ]
... you're not-
[ and then he gets grabbed and pulled down into the lake. fucking bye naan. ]
no subject
The first thing he sees is just [idiot falling into the water] and doesn't even recognise him until a few moments later when he's considered the body shape and those scales...
...
...he's waiting for him to resurface... ]
...hey, you're not actually drowning are you?
[ There's .0001% actual concern in there. ]
