[So there is a mostly unexplored jungle out there.

It seems like a good day to explore it, eh?

Please look out for:

Venomous snakes, the smaller ones will leave you fevered and nauseas, the larger may stop your heart.

Spores, inhaling them can leave you with mild to severe continuing hallucinations

Pollen, it may make you sneeze.

Dark shadows in the undergrowth, that seem to whisper as you pass. In familiar voices...? Or that's just the wind.

Vicious monsters. They want to eat you.

And look out, if you go exploring, because halfway through your adventure the sky seems to open up and pour on you, try to find a safe shelter--if that exists in the jungle.

For those of you not inclined to explore well, you may see lights in the jungle, little wisps, of light in the growth, or maybe it's your team colors you see? The more you look the more you feel practically compelled to follow those lights and flashes of something familiar....

Maybe you get caught by the jungle's dangers, trapped in a cave by the downpour, or maybe you make it to an odd break around a still pond, the surface so smooth it's almost like a mirror. If you look in, your reflection looks back. And it smiles at you.

And if you make it this far, if you look deep into your reflection and let it stare back, you might find yourself leaning down, towards it--hopefully you have a companion to pull you back before pale arms reach to pull you in and drown you.

Even if you're pulled back from the glass pool, a strange dread lingers with you for a while. And the urge to be near others is incredibly strong. Be it their presence or their touch you crave, you need reassurance.

((OOC: Explore, use this an excuse for wet huddling together in a cave while hallucinating, get cool new scars from fighting beasts, encounter the glassy pool, or whatever! Grab a buddy, have a good(?) time.))]

[So Rufus buffs, while touching Randy's tid.]

[Randy's laughing, snuggling Rufus closer, warm and large and friendly.]

[Wow now he's even more embarrassed! Rufus' face was already flushed from drink but now it's climbing right up his ears.]

I never asked you to be so considerate.

[RANDY DECIDED TO BE ONE A WHILE BACK AND IS DOING HIS BEST

WHILE NOT, LIKE, ADMITTING THAT'S HIS GOAL, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY HE'S JUST WALKING GARBAGE.]

[letting go, amiably. not put off by Rufus getting testier.]

[Goddess being drunk is the worst. He's dizzy and nauseous and humiliating himself, and just barely coherent enough to realise he's doing it.

He's just going to go sit down!! Or like, stumble into a plant that poofs pollen in his face and then sit down. And then get picked up by Jusis because that's how things are going today!

Eventually they'll get home though, and Rufus will be shoved into a shower and then probably made to Talk to Jusis. After that though he's wandering still drunk but less so over to Jasmine and knocking.

He's wearing his terrible leopard print pyjamas.]

[Randy answers the door, and apparently he's taken a shower and changed too, though he's wearing a dry pair of harem pants with his jellyfish shirt. He's artfully disheveled as always, but does also look genuinely surprised to find Rufus on his doorstep.]

I've had important conversations and I don't enjoy it.

[He's still drunk enough not to have much filter but he's sober enough to think and it sucks so here he is.]

This is your fault.

Oh, Aidios, Jusis cornered you, huh? Come in.

[standing aside]

Yes, but I don't want to talk about it.

[Just let me flop in here a little.]

I think I'm out of teammates, too.

Completely out...?

[ushering Rufus to a convenient couch]

Completely. Not that I mind having the place to myself, but I may have a hard time if we ever have to compete as teams.

Mm, I'd hope you wouldn't be pitted against a full team all by yourself...

[settles them both down on a couch]

[he's too drunk not to get comfortable so goodbye perfect elegant posture]

If it's a combat situation it's entirely possible I could win. If it becomes another discussion of morality, on the other hand...

[casually tugging Rufus against his side, he's LESS drunk so it's probably fine]

Try to do what Jusis would?

[Oh. Hey that's distracting and embarrassing. He doesn't fight it very hard but he does tense up and lean away just a bit, like a cat that isn't sure whether it wants to be picked up.]

That does seem like the obvious solution.

[he doesn't push it any more than that, just, comfy friendly proximity]

It makes the most sense, right? He's pretty good with that stuff.

[Hmmmm okay he'll stay.]

He is. But I find it... hard to understand.

[Which is hard to admit to in itself. Rufus is so, so smart, and good at reading people and predicting what they'll do, and yet...]

I can almost always tell how he'll react to something. But the feelings behind it... I thought I knew, but I really didn't. So I can't say I could copy it under pressure.
