EVENT: BLANKET FIC
Who: All the lovely Heroes!
When: Day 44, morning
Where: Around the train
[ It may have been only a few days, but did that heatwave feel like it lasted forever to anyone else? No? Either way, it's gone now. Bringing with it a blessed coolness. Actually wait, it's cold-- too cold! Worse yet, not even going into the train seems to really help. Fortunately, someone seems to have been kind enough to leave some nice, fuzzy blankets lying around. Too bad it doesn't seem to help much unless you share them with someone...
Either way, you're in luck because you've got some new teammates on the train! The notification appears cheerfully on everyone's Chains:
Enjoy the cold...? ]
[[ NOTES: You're welcome to make team posts if you like, or intro directly into this mingle if you haven't already. Until next month's placements, the cold snap will persist-- along with the lovely blankets lying around. Enjoy! ]]

[ok so, the clothes she found in her room?? not at all conducive to being warm. so she's walking out the door shivering, holding the long jacket around her for dear life, looking a little bit lost as she looks around.]
B. (any)
[oh shit, blankets! snatching one of those right up, thank you very much.
...except it's doing utterly nothing, and she's still shivering uselessly. :'(]
C. (any)
[gods above it's so fucking cold, but she's still gonna go poke around outside a bit — once she gets some warmer clothes, maybe she'll venture further.]

Mornin'.

now that he's smiling, she's offering a smile too, shoulders relaxing a little.]
Good morning. I don't suppose you could offer a little more context to the whole situation, could you?
no subject
I can, sure. You want some coffee while I do? Tea?

[tilts her head a little, because how do you respond to that?]
Nice... ears?

[ He's gonna leave the blanket on a chair and walk up to her so he can at least offer his hand ]
Did you just wake up? It's kinda confusing at first. And at second. And all the days after. But, huh. Welcome? I'm Finn.
no subject
I did just get here. I read the message on the device they left me, but...
[useless shrug, because she still super doesn't understand what's going on :/]
It's nice to meet you, Finn. I'd offer a name, but I'm unfortunately missing that.

also sandals. and a black blindfold.]
Ah, I take it you are newly-arrived?

I am, yes.

Might need a few of those today.

I think you may be right. It's almost as if it's paper, for all the good it's doing.

[look at her, she's essentially a lizard, she is NOT made for cold weather >:T]
Why offer blankets if they don't work?

[stares... the fur coat suits him somehow, while still managing to look pretty silly at the same time.]
How can a blanket look so warm and do utterly nothing?
no subject
Afflictions of the mind. A terrible trick, but one that is employed. While uncomfortable, I do wonder if the cold has any lasting physical effects.
no subject
[her expression scrunches in distaste.]
Someone suggested to me they might be doing it to force people to huddle for warmth for bonding reasons.

....
.... What are we? Cheap entertainment? Is this what the forces of light and dark have been reduced to? Ridiculous.
