[ It may have been only a few days, but did that heatwave feel like it lasted forever to anyone else? No? Either way, it's gone now. Bringing with it a blessed coolness. Actually wait, it's cold-- too cold! Worse yet, not even going into the train seems to really help. Fortunately, someone seems to have been kind enough to leave some nice, fuzzy blankets lying around. Too bad it doesn't seem to help much unless you share them with someone...

Either way, you're in luck because you've got some new teammates on the train! The notification appears cheerfully on everyone's Chains:

[ sniff sniff snIFF SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF, all over her hands and then up her arms, and then pretty much everywhere else she can reach as well. From this close, she's noticeably toasty, radiating warmth like a space heater. ]

Bones! And [ snuffles into her hair briefly - ] bodywash and shampoo, and [ sniff sniff ] chalk and ...

[ Pauses, cocking her head. One of her ears go a li'l lopsided, almost like a confused dog. ]

Oh! You already met Dusk? That's great, he's a really good guy. He'll help you settle in any way you need.

We’re Clover! [ Paps at the bright pink cap balanced precariously on her head. ]

[ quiet rumbly grumbly, not really a growl but still distinctly Ruffled. ]

A rude, rude boy. Dragons aren’t for eating!

They absolutely aren't! He should be so lucky so have someone as cute as you on his team!

Probably. Maybe. I think so? [ The end of her tail wags, the longer, floofier feathers dragging across the floor. ] I like it a lot, it's pretty.

It is pretty! And it matches the team theme.

[ Rustles her wings some, preening happily. ]

Eliza was the name I already remembered having, so I didn’t get one to match. But I did name a lot of my teammates! Our theme is sabertooth tigers and cats.

Ah! Remembered? So you didn't forget?

What's your world like?

Yep! I remember everything. And I think my world's great, but I don't know if you'd like it... Our dragons are pretty different there!

[ Dragons-! Squeaks, bouncing another circle around her. ]

Tell me, tell me about them!

[bowtiedbones]

Oh gosh, I can tell you so much about them. It's even my job to study their fossils, actually! But the very biggest difference between them and you is that our dragons don't talk.

I don't think I always knew talking. Dusk had to read to me for hours and hours and hours so I could get it right.

[ she's practically sparkling tbh ]

What do yours sound like? What do they look like? Are they magic? You are, I can feel it.

They're all magic! But they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes— there's flowerdrakes that look and act like parrots, there's fishers and sea serpents that live in the water, there's the coastal dragons which were simply massive, and of course there's the dragonwolves! Almost every region has or had its own great species of dragons.

[claps her hands together]

If you want, I can introduce you to three of them. But they're very old and very magic, so they're living as skeletons. But they're very sweet! Not scary at all.
