EVENT: ~*~Heat Wave~*~
Who: Heroes! Old ones, new ones...!
When: Day 42, afternoon
Where: Around the train
[ Good news, everyone! Those pesky cicadas are gone at last! You might have even had a chance to relax, except....
Except for the heat wave.
It's like the worst parts of the last dregs of summer come to torture you with excrutiating heat. It's heat so bad you could swear that you've started melting yourself the second you step outside. It's terrible. At least with the cold you can add more layers on, how are you supposed to deal with heat?? You can't just walk around naked??
(That's not a suggestion.)
Here's the thing about the heat, though: It's bad enough that it's causing mirages-- mirages of people you may even recognize, people who are lost in the dark. People who will try to lead you into danger, people who don't want what's best for you after all....
That aside, you may or may not have noticed that there's some new teammates on the train! The notification appears cheerfully on everyone's Chains:
And you may find yourself wearing a label you can't seem to remove until you've spoken to at least one other person: "Hi, I'm ______! Talk to me about ______!"
There's a mischievous giggle in the wind that you may recognize as the same one that ran the plants and secrets game. ]
[[ NOTES: You're welcome to make team posts if you like, or intro directly into this mingle if you haven't already. Until next month's placements, the heat wave will persist. Characters stand the risk of seeing castmates not in the game until that point, mirages from the heat. Enjoy! ]]

[Doing her best to seem casual about it all.]

I've been told I'm pretty shameless and I haven't found anything yet that disagrees with that idea.
no subject
Except when it comes to clothes. [Which is still weird.]
[And can't quite reach the tag and UGH, it was a pain getting the dress on in the first place, really don't want to be in a tangle in front of someone. Maybe she could just floof her mane?]
no subject
[ LIKE. HE'S JUST SAYING. ]
no subject
Shameless in....being distressingly blunt.
[Mussing up her hair to get it to spread and cover her back more to partially obscure the tag.]
no subject
[ He sounds amused. ]
And yeah, I think most people figure blunt's the best way to do it. Hell, I don't disagree.

If you mean about the supposed multiverse thing, I don't mean that.

[She started, frustration and distress entering her voice even as she tries to bite it back, but she also started to turn at the same time]
[And tripped over her own feet and stumbled, catching herself on the wall and growls.]
And why are such small hooves in the way all the time!?
no subject
[ He says it out loud in a thoughtful tone. ]
Dunno what it's like where you are, but violence is all too normal where I'm from. People going after each other, full of spite and anger-- or worse yet, for no reason other than money. Selfish, greedy people who want nothing but what's best for themselves and don't care who they have to step on to get it.

Griffins are selfish, dragons are violent, and there are species that are just monstrous, but magic means behaving in Equestria if you want to stay there. None of this....fear tactics or looking ready to eat somepony. How can a species not go mad like that?

[ He slips back into the lighter, more amused tone and smiles. ]
Who says we haven't?
no subject
...But there's good people, too. Kind ones. They're the ones that make you wanna have hope for humanity. ....Just don't look to me for that and you'll be fine.
no subject
So real hard to even give that a benefit of a doubt at this rate.

[Naeva made]
[The WORST impression.]
Don't know who the other four are. [There were seven doors, so making an assumption.
no subject
[ Honestly, he's impressed. ]
Try some of the other teams. There's a guy on Ginger who's pretty easy to get along with, he likes most people.
no subject
Pretty sure it's not an impression. Made it real clear where her priorities were. Could be wrong on the eating, not wrong on the corn chip.
And what's his name?
no subject
[ She drinks her boytoy's blood but somehow that doesn't feel like the right thing to say right now. ]
The guy on Ginger? His name's Rean.
no subject
Uh huh, yeah. Sure. Real caring. I'll believe it when I see it and I seriously doubt I'm ever going to see it. At the very least if you're going to demand something of someone, you should at least let them pursue something important to them, not tell them to forget it because it might be a little hard. There's being selfish and then there's being cruel.
I guess I can at least talk to him. I can't just read the entire library the whole time I'm here.

[ As a general policy, Crow doesn't get involved in a fight between two women, especially when one of them could probably kick his ass. And it's not the small amber-yellow one in front of him. ]
You could, but that depends on your taste in books. You'd probably end up bored sooner or later either way.
no subject
[But with humans who know how to channel magic out of a human body, well....]
[Still, venting a little did help some of her nerves. Feeling less on the edge of a panic attack.]
Research is something I jump to, so I can probably read a while.

[ Crow shrugs. ]

Why are there so many romances on an interdimensional train?
