Who: The Glitter Criminal
When: Day 42, Morning
Where: The Jackal Express
[Hey, Aurora. Do you hear that? A slight whining noise, barely audible over the noises of the train itself?
Well, early in the morning of day 42, that whine becomes a loud POP.
And now all the public cars and all of Senna is literally covered in glitter. Glitter rains from the vents. Shoots out from under seats. Glitter big enough to come in funny shapes. Tiny iridescent glitter that you're never going to get out of your clothes coats the windows, making the scenery glimmer. Glitter everywhere in every shape, size and color.]

Senna
[Hey Senna, how are you sleeping?]
[Probably not well since a newbie is screaming bloody murder in her room]
Re: Senna
Which is to say the door just got slammed open and there's a spooky-looking woman with bright glowing eyes and a shirt that clearly belongs to someone else, because Naeva thought someone was being murdered in here.
She's helping.]
Re: Senna
[Her head snaps up, taking in the sight of the spooky woman with glowing eyes, her eye widening.]
[And, to her credit, she also moves fast, scrambling over to the bed, and grabbing at the blanket.]
[With]
[Closed fists.]
[And never once after gets to her feet, moved on all fours.]
[And glaring at her, trying to hold up the blanket like a net.]
[Except she drops it because she's not gripping it and]
[And she's kind of a mess]

on the one hand, she is a shapeshifter, and so this is not in fact her first rodeo.
On the other paw, she's never seen someone struggle with the humanoid form like this before?
Naeva's just staring at her for a very, very long while. And then sighs.]
Alright, first, I'll take it as a kindness if you don't scream anymore, my hearing's quite delicate. Second, inhale deeply, hold it for three seconds, and exhale slowly. Do that until you feel like you can talk.

[Talking]
[Well, talking certainly lessens the 'ABOUT TO BE EATEN' instincts, but she keeps her fists on the blanket as her gaze focuses on Naeva.]
[Someone who looks like whatever...whatever SHE is.]
[And now that the blind panic has faded, the fear of whatever she is, is back, and she's real good at acting with fear.]
[Mostly by getting angry.]
What did you do to me?!
no subject
[SHE IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS ALARM CLOCK NO MA'AM.]
If you would direct your attention to your Chain--a device like this--[She holds hers up for visual confirmation.] Which you have probably knocked to the floor, it provides a summary of what has brought you here. That will be the best place to start. If you've complaints about your arrival, direct them to Prince Cardamom, the next time he appears.

[But then she looks at Naeva suspiciously.] So I'm just supposed to believe you had nothing to do with making me look....look....like whatever freak of nature you are?!
[She's a winner at first impressions.]
What even are you? Some kind of hairless monkey? You don't even have a tail!
no subject
[She doesn't say anything, but pops her jackal ears and tail out. JOKES ON YOU I'M A KEMONOMIMI.]
no subject
Are you a Changeling? A relative of the catpeople?
Oh hayseed, am I in the badlands? I know things get weird, but there should be documentation of stuff like this!
no subject
[SHE IS DEEPLY OFFENDED BY THIS. SHE IS A JACKAL HOW RUDE!!!]
Why in the hells would I change you? Explain to me exactly how I benefit by being harangued by a madwoman.
no subject
Or....dog monkey. [Looking at her hands with another look of mild horror.]
[She glares up at her.] Got rid of my horn pretty good.
no subject
[She growls--low and feral, displaying some very, very pointy teeth.]
I am no one's pet. And who are you to keep any sentient being as one?
no subject
The cat kept as pets aren't. Cats and Catpeople are different. Cats are smaller, only meow, and walk on four legs like most things do. Catpeople are bigger, can talk, and insist on walking on two. Plus, you know, can work with a society and use tools and all that stuff a normal cat doesn't.
Equestria doesn't have slaves. Badlands are the ones who'll pull stuff like that.

Re: Senna
[This is probably urgent enough he can get away without changing into real clothing as well; what he was sleeping in will work.]
[Cue one of those weird hairless apes around dashing into the room looking alarmed and trying to look threatening without having a weapon (or a clue)]
What is it?
Re: Senna
[So when he reaches the door, it's not going to open. Not because it's locked, but because Sunset is sitting against it because she's on prey animal high alert.]
[But that is a different voice.]
Whose there?!
[Well, that was the screaming girl. If he can. Tell....]
Re: Senna
Re: Senna
Right now?
Re: Senna
Re: Senna
[What's that about???? Fussing with her Chain for some answers!]
Re: Senna
Did you hit your head? This is a serious medical question, not a comment.
Re: Senna
[She'd adore that right now.]
[It takes a minute for her to answer because she's looking over the info.]
...did you pick up your phone? [Why call it a Chain, it's a smart phone, IS IT A CHAIN SOMEHOW????]
Re: Senna
[Medieval world means no idea what a telephone is.]

The small, flat rectangle you woke up near.
