Who: The Glitter Criminal
When: Day 42, Morning
Where: The Jackal Express

[Hey, Aurora. Do you hear that? A slight whining noise, barely audible over the noises of the train itself?

Well, early in the morning of day 42, that whine becomes a loud POP.

And now all the public cars and all of Senna is literally covered in glitter. Glitter rains from the vents. Shoots out from under seats. Glitter big enough to come in funny shapes. Tiny iridescent glitter that you're never going to get out of your clothes coats the windows, making the scenery glimmer. Glitter everywhere in every shape, size and color.]

[IF ONLY ALL SHE WAS SUFFERING FROM WAS A BUMP ON THE HEAD.]

[She'd adore that right now.]

[It takes a minute for her to answer because she's looking over the info.]

...did you pick up your phone? [Why call it a Chain, it's a smart phone, IS IT A CHAIN SOMEHOW????]

My what?

[Medieval world means no idea what a telephone is.]

[Thing is, she gets that, she's still confused by how much....more a phone feels compared to what she think Equestrian tech IS.]

The small, flat rectangle you woke up near.

The disturbingly renamed object, yeah.

I didn't know its original name, so I can't comment.

When has a chain ever been a good thing for the person it's attached to?

The chain that attaches an anchor to a ship is good for the ship. Or at least the people who are on board it.

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-09-23 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Chains are good for others. Its a trap for the thing its attached too. If boats had feelings, it might not like that situation at all.

Depends on if it had control over the anchor and its chain. Staying in one place when wind and currents want to carry you off is good. Staying in one place against your will is less so.

I don't know about that. The other has more freedom. Able to see the world.

Re: Senna

But control would allow for both options. Which is the point -- who controls the Chains?

That is a good point.
daydreamshimmer: (That's just bizarre)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-02 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. That means it's immediately questionable.

You've convinced me. So, who do we question?
daydreamshimmer: (Let's put the pieces together)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-07 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
Whoever this prince is, I guess.

Re: Senna

[personal profile] learnedfool 2019-10-08 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
We then have to locate him. Princes aren't always accesable.
daydreamshimmer: (Are you serious)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-08 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, at least its not a princess.

Re: Senna

[personal profile] learnedfool 2019-10-09 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
How so? I can't say I've noticed that much of a difference. Besides the obvious.
daydreamshimmer: (That's just bizarre)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-09 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, but that fundamental control over a major aspect of the world is a pretty big obvious difference.

Re: Senna

[personal profile] learnedfool 2019-10-09 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
You and I have a very different definition of 'princess'.
daydreamshimmer: (Are you serious)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-09 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Princesses are alicorns. That much power needs some direction.
learnedfool: (Default)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] learnedfool 2019-10-09 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Human princesses are generally not alicorns. Just... female members of whatever family is in charge of the area.
daydreamshimmer: (That's just bizarre)

Re: Senna

[personal profile] daydreamshimmer 2019-10-09 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
....wait, just female? No special powers at all?
