It's not like he doesn't think Crow is super handsome. And he already likes him a lot, which is why he's not immediately rejecting the kiss, he does kind of want it actually, but he's... more concerned about consequences emotionally. So even as Crow's lips brush over his and make his whole body react with a start he's placing a hand on Crow's chest.]

Crow does pull back when Rean rests his hand against Crow's chest. Whatever Rean's objections are, he's perfectly willing to accept them. ]

It's not that, um, I don't find you really attractive, and I like you a lot, I just... I feel a little like I'd be taking advantage somehow. If I can avoid it... I don't really want to be doing something like this out of pragmatic necessity.... it's even worse because I like you.

I don't know if that makes sense or anything, when I've done it with contractors before.

Don't worry about it. [ He reaches over and ruffles his hair. ] Consider it the same deal as my contract offer-- if you decide you wanna go for it, just call me up. And if you don't, that's fine too. We'll still be friends either way.

[ And he can have a crisis about how weirdly easy it is to be comfortable with Rean later. ]
