It's not like he doesn't think Crow is super handsome. And he already likes him a lot, which is why he's not immediately rejecting the kiss, he does kind of want it actually, but he's... more concerned about consequences emotionally. So even as Crow's lips brush over his and make his whole body react with a start he's placing a hand on Crow's chest.]

Crow does pull back when Rean rests his hand against Crow's chest. Whatever Rean's objections are, he's perfectly willing to accept them. ]

It's not that, um, I don't find you really attractive, and I like you a lot, I just... I feel a little like I'd be taking advantage somehow. If I can avoid it... I don't really want to be doing something like this out of pragmatic necessity.... it's even worse because I like you.

I don't know if that makes sense or anything, when I've done it with contractors before.

[ Feelings.... do make things more complicated. It's an absolutely terrible idea to even consider going any further if Rean feels that way... But despite himself, he's still interested in Rean.

Don't worry about it. [ He reaches over and ruffles his hair. ] Consider it the same deal as my contract offer-- if you decide you wanna go for it, just call me up. And if you don't, that's fine too. We'll still be friends either way.

[ And he can have a crisis about how weirdly easy it is to be comfortable with Rean later. ]

[ Okay, you know what? He tried to behave himself and no one can say he didn't. But this has nothing to do with offering to help Rean with his mana and everything to do with Rean being really attractiveand Crow really wanting to kiss him. So he does! He pulls him in for a brief but intense kiss, hungry and definitely not entirely chaste. ]

[Oh. Well... he sets a hand on Crow's shoulder, not pushing him back as he returns the kiss, only able to hold back so much himself. And right now, it should be okay just to kiss a little.]

[ It's just a little kissing! It's definitely all Crow is intending on, even as he's sliding his hands into Rean's hair-- any lower and he really won't want to stop. But he takes this moment to explore the contours of Rean's mouth, tasting him hungrily before he manages to tear himself away, his pupils blown wide with want. ] That's true, you didn't.
