The Seventh Trial

[Late in the night, the train jostles again. It feels like a Trial, but this time there's a strange, oppressive feeling in the air, and the call forth has changed. And yet it's a voice that's been heard before -- the resonant young man's voice that accompanied a military tent surrounded in white feathers.

What is a hero?

That tent is here now, imposing with its black flag and spatters of mud and blood, but the edges are tattered and the feathers strewn about are beginning to turn black. From them rises a smoke with a dark glow, sending a chill through anyone it touches.

As you enter the voice is raised again. Though still strong, it's no longer clear -- it sounds hoarse and a little distorted.]

What is your worth? What do you stand for? What... is the right thing to do?

The goal of this Trial is to make the just choice. Characters will be given a series of decisions to make, and will receive punishments based on the moral (?) superiority of their answers according to The Angel. It will have three rounds:

ROUND ONE - Groups must choose a member to act as their King. All other members become Knights.

ROUNDS TWO & THREE - Groups must choose who amongst their group to sacrifice based upon a "question of Justice". Punishments will range from light to severe to even death depending on these choices.

Choices are weighted towards "the needs of the many over the needs of the few". THE WINNER will be the group who takes the least damage.

Powers are off and items are not allowed.

[With the final punishments handed out, the kings are released from their thrones and the doors to the throne room open, allowing you to leave.

Those who have died will revive, though they'll have intensely painful scars at the sites of their wounds. The wounds from non-fatal punishments remain, however.]

[ HE IS BEYOND PISSED, bloodied welts on his back and he's had his knee injured but like none of that is even registering beyond how angry he is.

She he's just over there very angrily getting himself a healing pod ]

[Hlasoh is not in a good way. She's on her knees on the ground, her eyes bloodshot, face streaked with tears, and her expression blank. Bloody lashes cover her back, and feathers are sprouting out of her skin, and she's actually scratching them, clearly wincing in pain each time.

Even if she was told to do it, she gave in, and hurt Emilia. Trapped in a prison, causing violence to those she cared about- just like what had happened long ago. The pain in her head seems unbearable.]
