Who: Everybody!
When: Day 14, morning
Where: Public Lounge
[Good morning, Aurora. Things seem peaceful, don't they? But, well, there is a terrible doom brought upon this train. Maybe you noticed it near your
car. Maybe you felt a terrible presence in the wee hours of the morning. Maybe you just wanted to get breakfast in peace. But anyone going through
the lounge today will find themselves presented with something strange and terrible.
Stickers.
They're bright. They're sparkly. Naeva has an inordinant amount of them and is sticking them on anyone and anything she can get close to. If you ask, she'll probably
let you pick one out. Or maybe just snatch a sheet from her when her back's turned.
And hey, if you're not here for stickernanigans, maybe you still have some memories to broadcast? It's a beautiful morning for a beautiful mingle!]

[rather she doesn't even know why or what for.
the denial of hers is instinctive, but she starts to mull over the words properly. that is. an odd way of phrasing it.]
...But what do you mean until our last meeting?
[she...does not like this. elaine is further ahead in the timeline]
What do you know?

I am not certain I understand. Regardless, you do not need to offer me anything.

[ it's normal to her, so it's nothing apologies would register for. she gets that - without help or any further thought, for once.
an exhale as she looks off into the distance, almost a little embarrassed? ]
If at all possible, there is something that I would like you to do for me.

[as that other part of elaine has told her time and again, but she won't hold it against her. be nice, be nice. she's not doing anything wrong, right now.
which isn't that suspicious. it's not as if they never talked outside of games, and elaine is a practical person.
still, this is sort o weird. like she's trying in a strange way. she cannot put her finer on it. perhaps she's desperate. who can say.]
What is it?
no subject
If you would - no, rather, were you to collect for me a piece of his clothing, and then bring it to me... I would be greatly appreciative, could you do so.
no subject
She exhales slowly. Honestly, she gets it.]
...Very well. I will do my utmost. However, I am not certain if he is wearing what he was given or materialising it.
no subject
I'd prefer to refrain from causing him any further grief, if at all possible.

[hm might need to seduce for this...hm.......]
He will simply have to overcome it if he is being sincere about his aspirations.
[which, like, [x] doubt but whatever she knows he's a determined piece of shit so maybe not.]
The circumstances here appear to be...different. It may be too soon to determine anything conclusive.

He is not the person you know. [or that she knew for that matter, but she's pretending to be unaffected.] and we have discussed this, in part. I can only form conjecture as to your dealings with him, but I cannot imagine that they have been pleasant. When I first encountered him, he was immensely distressed that anyone knew anything at all about him whatsoever. Objectively understandable, it is not how I can see how that could not be disconcerting to say the least, however.
[hm.]
However, given his personality that makes it especially complicated. It is obviously not at one-to-one, but some matters appear to be consistent. Put simply, he does not enjoy not having the upper hand and your relationship with your brother ensures that that that hand is in the atmosphere, figuratively speaking.
[ayep.
anyway, 80h doesn't know why she's saying any of this. why she is trying. whatever.]
But you are not his enemy. So he will have to come to terms with that. He has a lot of free time to lecture me about this and that, and so if he means to live by what he says, he will come around. The objective is to creat bonds, there is no reason why he cannot form something with you.

[ how does she say this? she's had more time to learn how to socialize in the past year or so, but these are special circumstances. even bolstered by that meeting she's still a little bit jostled overall, on edge from the suggestion of that gaze. ]
Grateful though I may be, I'd since determined as much... although his claim is that the entirety of his memory has been lost, which to my knowledge certainly remains irrefutable, so long as he persists in doing so, much of behavior carries with it suggestions to the contrary. Though he is nevertheless no iteration of my brother that would ever find you or I within his memory, independent of his circumstances... It's hardly important. I don't intend to pursue the matter further.
Whether I'm to be his enemy or his ally, as best suits him - he is free to make use of me along either axis. To observe him as I have done - that alone is satisfactory. It's simply that sleeping has proven somewhat difficult as of late.

[but she barely trusts him]

... It is hardly appropriate to gossip so, I suppose. Have you been well?
[ if it was like arjuna or something she'd totally be up for it but 80H is... not... ]

aside from like weirdly moody sometimes
but she looks at elaine not quite like she has two heads, but could sprout one at any moment]
...You really seem to be making an attempt.
[she knows (thinks) elaine doesn't really give a shit about her, personally and still does not, but circumstances have changed, even if she really doesn't think she cares and also--]
I do not understand you. Even for the sake of practicality.
no subject
closes her mouth. takes a drag on her cigarette. exhales. ]
I see. In that case, what is it that you've failed to understand? Certainly there do exist further gaps in our experiences even still - I'll explain to the best of my ability.
no subject
[like, you don't need to like someone to work with them, but some people here seem pretty ok so like what gives]
no subject
[ hm. taking one last drag, she voids what's left of the cigarette to dispose of it later on. no littering. ]
... I do believe my circumstances were properly elucidated moments prior. That we, as two linked through previous experience in such a place, would, were we prudent - should we most ideally persist in this place, together - establish a rapport both more firm and of greater positivity than what once was - what has been, historically. It is, furthermore, something which my brother would doubtless wish of me were he present in full measure, as a man with which I have been held to such an expectation, and as one that has himself held concern over your state and well-being.
no subject
Your brother. Yes. I see.
[There is a touch of bitterness there that she does not bother to hide, but then, it is positively minuscule. Just to hear her say kuuha cared after what he's done is...annoying, honestly, but elaine either doesn't know about it. or she doesn't and doesn't care. it's not as though it was her fault either way.
Her tone returns to being very polite and neutral.]
I suppose it is a reasonable proposal, but I wonder if a dull girl such as myself could be of any use to you, truly. You will have to forgive me.
