Come hither, Heroes. Prove thy worth.

The earth rumbles beneath your feet with a mighty roar. This time a crumbling stone tower looms above you, unscalable and unbreachable. At the top of the tower is a single window with a single light, beckoning. The only entrance at the base is an arched wooden door which creaks in protest when you open it.


Upon entering the tower you will find yourself in a large room with high walls constructed of dark, uneven brick stone. The ceiling is so high that you cannot see anything but darkness as torches lining the walls serve as the only source of light. The room itself is achingly cold. It’s reminiscent of a dungeon… or a treasure room.

But the only treasure to be found lies in the middle of the room; a small pile of seven bracelets, each one inlaid with a beautiful jewel corresponding to each team’s color. It may be fairly obvious, but just in case anyone is slow on the uptake:

“What is it that you treasure in this world? What are you willing to give up? Until you can decide that much, you will not be allowed to leave this room. It matters not to me if you rot in here.

However, I will tell you this much; should you decide who among you is most precious, only they may bear the weight of your altruism.”

[ughhhhh. okay. he's gonna ball up the hem of his jacket with his other hand and stick it in his mouth, which tastes like ash and makes his face go even more sour than it already was at the idea of more pain. muffled:]

Okay. Go for it.

Right. I'm gonna count to five. One... two...

[popping the shoulder back into place in one practiced motion before he even gets close to five.]

[scream]

[looks at Randy with #Betrayal in his eyes]

You said five.

You would've tensed up at five. Had to make sure you were relaxed.

[pats his NON angry shoulder, chagrined.]

Uuuggghhhhh.

No problem. The inflammation's still gonna suck, so I'd still talk to that teammate of ours about that part, but at least it won't be flopping around anymore!

What's his name? I didn't catch it while I was dangling over magma. Or is it lava? One of those.

[crimeson]

Y'know, it's been four days and I still don't know? He's pretty evasive with that sorta thing.

[lapofluxury]

That's weird. It's just a name.

[rubs at his arm... still ow]

[crimeson]

Yeah, but he's cagey about, uh, everything? Everything.

[lapofluxury]

Except the fact he can use magic?

[crimeson]

Something like that.

Weird. But that's cool, I guess. It'd be way easier if there was something we could call him, though.

Is He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named too much of a reference, or-- wait. You probably don't get that anyways. Nevermind.

[crimeson]

Yep, not a clue what you're talking about. We'll probably get a name out of him one of these days at least?

[lapofluxury]

Just keep calling him different names until he responds back to one.

[crimeson]

How about I leave that one to you? We'll call it team bonding.
