Event: Bubbles...??

[ If you step outside this morning you may find a surprise! Large, pink colored bubbles, bouncing along lazily in the air as if they just arrived from some child's pleasant dreams. They are roughly the size of a melon and, upon closer inspection, appear to be filled with ... something? That sparkles and reflects the morning sunlight.

In any case, they seem harmless enough. Just a strange weather pattern for this strange world. Though if you happen to bump into one (or perhaps if one happens to sneak up and bump into you) you'll find that it pops quite easily upon contact-- and covers you in glitter!?

Well at least that explains the sparkling. But is this really harmless after all...? If nothing else, it's really annoying.

Oh yeah, by the way! You may find that some of your teammates are missing... but don't worry! Most of the empty rooms have already been filled by brand new Heroes! This isn't concerning at all! ]


[ OOC NOTES ON THIS EVENT

Each of these bubbles contain different colored glitter! Each glitter has a different effect, and you may oocly choose which color or combination of colors you want this glitter to be. The effects remain until you wash all of the glitter off. In addition, it's completely possible to get glitter on someone else just by contact... in fact some of these effects won't actually kick into place until you do spread the glitter curse. Just remember to communicate oocly which effects you want to play with!

GLITTER COLORS

White: Nothing. It's just glitter.
Purple: Increase "positive" feelings! Maybe you can't stop laughing, or maybe you suddenly feel much more affectionate towards someone you didn't particularly like before... whatever it is, it's definitely a little concerning. But maybe it's not too bad? This effect lasts until you manage to wash the glitter off.
Yellow: Memory share (x1) upon contact! Whoever you touch with this glitter receives one of your memories... but only if you also happen to remember it! (memories from the game itself are also valid!)
Green: Feelings share upon contact! Whoever you touch with this glitter can feel whatever you are feeling and vice-versa. This effect lasts until you manage to wash off the glitter.
Blue: Thoughts share upon contact! Whoever you touch with this glitter can now hear your thoughts and vice-versa. At least any loud thoughts. Maybe think a little quieter? This effect lasts until you manage to wash off the glitter.
Pink: You cannot lie. If you lie you start to feel sick... coincidentally enough, telling the truth makes you feel better? Or you can wash the glitter off. ]


[ ALSO! To those who were poisoned in the last game, you have the option to say that the poison has worn off by now! You also have the option to keep playing with it if you would like, either way is completely fine! ]

[That's upsetting, but does make him a little determined. He grabs Randy by the hand and drags him to shove into a seat in the lounge.]

Sit and calm down a moment. You're just working yourself up unnecessarily.

puts his head in his hands and tries to breathe, tries to force himself to calm down.]

[Honestly at this point he feels somewhat instinctively protective. He crosses his arms and tries to pretend he's not, pulling up his own seat.]

It's a lot, I know.

[that protectiveness gives rise to another spike of guilt, but he manages to latch onto the protectiveness itself and... sort of resonate with it, settle on his own burgeoning protective feelings for jusis.

his voice is so, so soft when he speaks again, nearly inaudible.]

I suppose I'll forgive you this once.

[At odds with the clipped words is actual concern in his feelings. He does sympathize and he does feel bad and frustrated that anyone has to go through this kind of freakout because it's certainly an alarming enough experience. He himself isn't really settled in or comfortable with this situation at all in any way.

The protectiveness is something he has no idea how to feel about if he recognizes it as not the thing he's already feeling for Randy, so good thing he doesn't.]

I'm afraid I don't have much more than your appearance to go on. And Kelp is an even less flattering name, even if it is the color of your eyes.

he's already soothed a bit by the contact, but his guilt is climbing in spite of it, especially with jusis being cute. he wants to flirt! it would be so easy to flirt! but!]

[He starts to ask but then it kind of clicks and he feels... Annoyed? Conflicted? Exasperated but also unsure. At least the dishonesty wasn't too sustained. At the same time he's just, unsure how to deal with it because it's a mix of admiration for admitting it and apprehension that dishonesty was the first move here.]

[gently tugs his hand away. politely. guilty but resigned to it, now.]

Sorry. I recognized you, but... I panicked.

[He's not... Angry. But he's on edge now. He does recognize that admitting to dishonesty is pretty fucking brave but he still wants to understand why being recognized caused panic. And unfortunately the name seems to mean nothing to him.]

...So you're also from the future... That's not the first time I've heard something like that.

-- Oh, that's. No. It's not like that. I was serious when I said I don't have a problem with you. We're acquaintances, in that future, but pretty solidly friendly ones. We fought on the same side.

That's a relief.

[It is actually. He wasn't worried before but when TWO people from a year or two ahead of you start out immediately not wanting to talk about it it suddenly feels dodgy? Still, he leans back in his chair a bit.]

I'm glad to hear it, I'd like to know more, actually. But as for him, he's been avoiding me at home in my current present as well. It makes sense it's unrelated.

I'm not sure what I should tell you about the circumstances when I'm from, but... you should know that I didn't decide to lie because you spoke to me. I had already pretty much decided to by the time I left the train car I woke up in.

[But despite the honest frustration there's deep love and affection for that person so it's really likely Randy's hunch is right.]
