Who: You
When: Day 52, morning
Where: Anywhere

[Of course there's still the flowers that, when stepped on, enhance or dull a sense, and there are still some chocolates in the lounge if you missed them or want more.

But this morning dawns with an infestation of bats.

That is, tiny tiny clockwork bats that get in your hair and coffee and make tiny tiny clockwork bat screeches.

Should you encounter a clockwork bat, and they're pretty hard to dodge, the next person you talk to will... Well, see one of your memories.

Otherwise it seems like a pretty typical morning, and the bats will be gone by afternoon.]

[In a way, her embarrassment about someone else seeing that particular memory amused Loki. He had so much worse in his past, a moment like that would be one he'd almost be happy to have shared instead of others.]

Indeed. That is why I advise you to destroy them or keep away if you cannot.

I see. Yeah that... definitely makes sense. I'd rather not have that going around. The last thing I need is for that to be the first real thing Rean remembers about me...

[The fact that the person her family was teasing her about was here and very much didn't remember her only made that worse.]

Perhaps we should destroy them as quickly as possible...

[Loki can relate to that, now that she's pointed out her specific fear. He can all too easily imagine a Thor without his memories arriving, and possibly seeing Loki trying to kill him as his first memory.]

That is what I am doing. But it is difficult to get them all; they are fast, and I believe they may know that I mean them harm and avoid me. Others have said that strange effects like this only last for a short while, so perhaps we need only stay vigilant until they disappear of their own accord.

I wish I had my weapon... it would be a lot easier to shoot them out of the sky.

[Unfortunately, she hasn't had the opportunity to get it back yet.]

It would be nice if we could somehow lure them or scare them away but-- they seem pretty fearless.

[Loki wouldn't have expected her to have a weapon that could shoot. Still underestimating humans, especially cute-looking young women.]

Thankfully I still have my magic.

They are machines. They were likely created solely to steal our memories. Of course they would have no fear, they have no minds. They avoid those who destroy them because it interferes with their purpose, not out of a desire to preserve their own lives.
