[Another morning, another Trial! Ugh.

At least this one seems normal, starting out with a shake and the Hermit’s booming voice:]

"Good morning, Heroes. You can guess why you're being called, but before we begin I have an official statement. The Prince of Stars and associates were not responsible for yesterday's Trial. It appears the system was copied by a Malicious entity -- we apologize for any confusion and are doing our best to locate this entity and find a way to prevent any such incidents in the future.

In the meantime, we've scheduled a low-stress Trial for today to lift your spirits. With teamwork and a little silliness, let's search for unity and peace within ourselves."

I can't imagine how, most unicorns are pretty much the exact opposite.

One of the most common bad stereotypes is arrogance and showing off and I don't think it's a necessarily untrue one? Magic does a lot for that.

Well, witches, dragons and vampires are all pretty hidden, but they all use magic, it might be in my world unicorns are even more so. Even I'm not what you'd consider a common occurence where I'm from.

Well, I mean, ghosts are supposed to be invisible. Are you sure they're not common?

Yep. That kind of ghost isn't really common either. They happen sometimes, though.

So why are you the weird solid one?

Because calling myself a ghost is a little misleading. Not totally inaccurate, but... I'm more like a guardian spirit. More cool powers, but more responsibilities.

...well, yeah, it IS misleading.

Guardian spirits and ghosts are totally different.

I'm also a ghost though, since I was alive and now I'm a spirit. So it's both.

[Wiggles his hand.]

Second is more accurate though, you're right.

Did you actually die, or were you just transformed into the guardian spirit?

You know, I don't actually remember. Though in a way I've died a few times since. As much as an eternal spirit can.

Does this body regenerate, or do you get a new one?

It regenerates. Though if it's obliterated it has to reform at my shrine. Which I'm not conscious for so it's not bad.

Hmmm, then that'd only be the most technical definition of ghost if that's happened.

Regenerating body just means you're immortal.

That's also true. I guess in some sense I'm just as much like a vampire as a spirit.

What, you wreak havoc on orchards or the blood kind?

Well, neither. But I need a lot of mana to exist, so I'm bound to others. Like a familiar.

Does that make me an immortal vampire spirit guardian ghost familiar?

...that's....weird with someone whose capable of taking care of themselves.

Nah, when you get enough title, you just make a new one. Like you don't call a pony a unicorn pegasus earth pony, you just call them alicorn.

Huh. Alicorn is it? For me the title would be Divine Knight, but I'll take Rean over that.

Most people do. Even alicorns prefer princesses. At least that's a more earthly title.

Are all alicorns princesses?

Yes, at least since the two sisters. Anyone who earns the status of alicorn is to be made royalty.
