Who: All heroes
When: Day 45, Morning
Where: The clearing

[ In the morning, all heroes can wake up to see a new trial is being held! Following the door that appears in the clearing will lead to a Very Scary, faux-abandoned house. There are all the markings of terrible Halloween decorations, for those that are familiar with it. There are fake spiderwebs all around, fake bats, skeletons, and even spider skeletons.

There are several different tables spread across the room - one has a pile of small, sticky spiders in it, then there's one where people can get refreshments, if they so wish, and all others have tons and tons of pumpkins sitting there. None of those are carved - though there are several carved, lit pumpkins spread across the room - just sitting on the floor.

Notably there is a runway, and behind that, a room in which people may grab costumes, or pieces of costume. Make up is also provided.

Finn can be seen at the end of the Runway, aptly wearing his Spider-Man costume, before he begins to explain ]

So! I've recently found out I fight crazy people for a, huh, possibly living. Whether I get paid or not is still under debate. And who would have thought, there's a costumed guy for every occasion. There's no better way to drive off the mental image of a guy fighting with a flaming pumpkin on his head than make better memories, so I'm imposing Halloween on you all.

For those of you who are not in the known, what with us being all from different worlds and stuff, Halloween is, huh ... probably an actual serious holiday somewhere, somehow, but in practice it's all about the money, baby! And scary stuff. And sharing scary stories and getting candy.

So there you have it. A game to get some actual fun Halloween action that does not involve people barely avoiding getting brutally murdered and blown up. Not speaking of anyone in particular here.

[crouching down and tracing runes onto a pumpkin with a sharpie from her bag]

[chalks a quick line around her pumpkin, just for safety, then completes the last sigil on it— and with the FWUMP of a small explosion the marked pieces burst into purple flame]

[She claps delicately, her mouth parted.]

[she doesn't mind that part overmuch, but eliza's way does save time and she is all about that, too. Excellent work.]

And pretty too! Though I guess someone could use LED's now if they wanted a different color.

Can you not change it with your magic, curiously?

There would be ways to, but I don't personally know the spellwork for it except for when it's tied into a flame I create from scratch. When I've had to do colored flames I actually usually use salts instead.

[she leaves for the pumpkins and very quickly, very discreetly enchants one to say "Ouch, that hurts" in a high-pitched voice when significant action is done to it.

She returns and offers that pumpkin to Eliza for carving.]

[she also has three spiders on her person, now.]

Oh, thank you!

[takes the pumpkin, sets the pumpkin down. takes out Lori, sets Lori ON THE PUMPKIN.]

Ouch, that hurts!

[says the pumpkin]

[eliza EEPS]

It talked!?

[Lori rears back, equally startled, but then like a pet with a squeaky toy she goes for the BIG CHOMP]

Ahhhhhhh! That hurts!

[so ruuuuuude!]

Lori, Lori leave it alone?? Why's it doing that!?

[lori digs her beak in HARDER no mother i must destroy]

80H thinks this is unexpected but actually really hilarious, but she plays the fool so well.]

[the pumpkin is still in "pain" repeating the same line until it's like, destroyed.]

It's not even a toy pumpkin! It's just a pumpkin! Loriiiiiii...!

[lori is going to PECK and TEAR until she has a hole big enough for her to squirm her little skeleton body inside of the pumpkin to start tearing out seeds]

It's fine, it was not sentient.

[her shoulders shake a little and she puts a gentle fist toward her mouth as she clears her throat, more than once.]

[gASP]

Are you laughing!?

[she clears her throat again and is blank-faced once more.]

No, of course not.

[the corner of her mouth twitches once.]
