Levitation is the one spell all unicorns put in the effort to learn. It'd be real easy for an alicorn to nail down.

But not something most humans have access to. I don't even think those of us with unusual gifts can manage it.

Yes. And the reverse. Uphill magic instead of downhill. That's harder, since Des needs something to balance the scales, or I overheat.

To make Des's magic go uphill, I need to send something downhill to compensate, or that something is me. We can hold it back for a short time, or build up reserves, but that's about it. And it's only because Des is a very old demon; she has a lot of learned control.

But she doesn't need to for sending things downhill?

Less so, since she generates the chaos on her own, and downhill magic is mostly helping things that happen on their own.

Well, at least there's that. Your chaos is still weirdly rule following for chaos. [It's downright odd.]

So is uphill hard for you because she's around or is that just an always thing?

Before she arrived, I couldn't do anything magical. Most humans can't.
