[not surprising, honestly.]
Well, while you consider one, how do you get your hair like that?
[Amane can do curls if she wants to, but Eliza's hair is always on fucking point and she wants to know if she could do better.]

I see. Thank you. [she makes a thoughtful noise.]
I need to pet someone for five minutes and...
[her shoulders droop minutely]
discuss my most important person.

She cannot pick a singular person that is most important. Or rather she did, but there are...a few more that hold that title.
She looks to the sky.]
I knew an angel, once.

[but michael was an asshole, we won't talk about him.]
The other two...they were both the arcangel Uriel and both were kinder to me than I deserved, but one of them was especially... [dear to her.] He was every bit an angel when duty called or when he was well and truly angry, but neither of those things came to pass very often, thankfully.
[honestly a part of her was always, always scared of him, but that is so natural for her. some of the people closest to her have always terrified her.]
Where I am from, the messengers of God do not suffer those with magic they do not approve of to live and so I was often afraid of them, but he was very kind. He did not have designs upon my life. [because someone not murdering you is a great kindness and not basic decency.
A beat.] He really enjoyed doing laundry, and gambling. [She makes a noise in her chest.] You would think otherwise, but he was not a morning person even remotely, but he could be made happier about it with hugs and kisses...really, he could do anything for hugs and kisses. He was, oddly, surprisingly, one of the most shameless people I have ever known. But also shy? As he would say. He was talented that way.
[She pauses a moment, her hand doing the same before she resumes stroking.]
I was in something of...precarious situation before arriving here, and I do not know how I might have survived it if not for his kindness, at times. He never had to reach out, in fact, it was not in his best interest to do so in the beginning, and only continued to help forever after, but that first kindness was the start of something.
[something so very beautiful and precious.
Her tone is pained and wistful and thoughtful.]
He smiled...so much. Laughed and loved so much. It defied comprehension.

He sounds very special.
:D
He is. Pardon me, that was rather a lot.
