[ There's a pause, and he's wondering whether he should go on or not - he does have more talking squares to get, after all ]
There was something odd about the memory, though. You know ... like a voice to the back of my head telling me it wasn't real no matter how real I wanted it to be. That's why I said I'm pretty sure I have a wife and a kid.
Kinda hard to describe it. I, huh, have been putting off taking my memories because of it. What if I find out it wasn't real? What if I find out something happened to them? I'm getting stupidly neurotic about it.

Well, I mean, there's certainly magic that can implant a false memory. On the other hand, if you're neurotic, it could also be a sign of a mental disorder. Like an imposter syndrome or something.
I....uh....might have an ability to help? I guess?

[ There's a pause at that ]
I promise.

[Don't pry, don't pry, don't pry, don't pry is a mental chant right now, she needs to not have these talks WHILE CUDDLING, but at least focusing on NOT doing it keeps whatever her power is from going off. Maybe.]
But I mean, if it's a false memory, someone else looking at it might be able to tell? In theory?
[DON'T PRY.]

I don't know if I want to know. But not knowing isn't any better.

Better to not be surprised?

[Looking at his card.] Sing something. That should take your mind off it.
