EVENT: ~*~Heat Wave~*~
Who: Heroes! Old ones, new ones...!
When: Day 42, afternoon
Where: Around the train
[ Good news, everyone! Those pesky cicadas are gone at last! You might have even had a chance to relax, except....
Except for the heat wave.
It's like the worst parts of the last dregs of summer come to torture you with excrutiating heat. It's heat so bad you could swear that you've started melting yourself the second you step outside. It's terrible. At least with the cold you can add more layers on, how are you supposed to deal with heat?? You can't just walk around naked??
(That's not a suggestion.)
Here's the thing about the heat, though: It's bad enough that it's causing mirages-- mirages of people you may even recognize, people who are lost in the dark. People who will try to lead you into danger, people who don't want what's best for you after all....
That aside, you may or may not have noticed that there's some new teammates on the train! The notification appears cheerfully on everyone's Chains:
And you may find yourself wearing a label you can't seem to remove until you've spoken to at least one other person: "Hi, I'm ______! Talk to me about ______!"
There's a mischievous giggle in the wind that you may recognize as the same one that ran the plants and secrets game. ]
[[ NOTES: You're welcome to make team posts if you like, or intro directly into this mingle if you haven't already. Until next month's placements, the heat wave will persist. Characters stand the risk of seeing castmates not in the game until that point, mirages from the heat. Enjoy! ]]

[except dusk considers her one she's just really stupid and avoidant.
Sunset, meanwhile, is wiggling her butt as she makes to POUNCE!]
no subject
Maybe because he knew you'd take it seriously. You never do anything less than your best, after all.
[ It's absolutely that he thinks they're friends but Crow knows better than to say that. ]
no subject
POUNCING!]
...I suppose, but others would as well. Others who are not...difficult. Like you.
no subject
Wait.
She thinks he's not difficult? Maybe not in comparison to her but who does she think she's fooling? ]
Maybe, but you could have been the one there when he thought of it. Don't over-analyze it.
no subject
I am built for analysing, you realise. [She tilts her head a little.] Or perhaps you do not.
[She answers questions but she has not told him everything there is to know of different models and the like. It has not come up too often.]
But I take your meaning.
[still THINKING ABOUT IT THO.
sunset meanwhile starts to kitty growl playfully and chew on the toy. hers now!!]
no subject
[ Look. LOOK. Don't tell a guy most androids don't have bits and expect him to not think that. ]
Either way, I just think it's probably not that deep.

she mutters incomprehensibly.]
I am not. I just happen to be able to have it, perhaps because that is what humans do.
no subject
My mistake! It's always important to learn new things.
no subject
[She's just going to flick him in the forehead.]
Yes, it is!

[if THAT IS HOW HE WANTS TO PLAY!!!]

Alright alright, look. I'm sorry okay?
no subject
[honestly shes likes blowing him a lot that would have sucked (hahah, sucked) BUT SHE WOULD HAVE DONE IT.
Meanwhile, Sunset is just rolling all over Crow that's okay right. he doesn't smell enough like her and she needs to fix that]
She seems to like you.
no subject
[ He grins at the kitten. ]
Aren't you? Of course you are.
no subject
[she hums airily as she continues to knit
that's debatable maybe, but she hasn't said so.
sunset is a young lady of very discerning taste: she will go where there are toys and people to give them, but she is still having a lot of fun with crow and she mews happily in between playful growls.]
no subject
He's not interested in clarifying any further, instead continuing to play with Sunset as she mews and growls and plays. ]
no subject
she doesn't look up from her knitting, quite content with this atmosphere actually.]
Is there anything you cannot do, I wonder...?
