EVENT: ORIGIN'S ORIGINS (Aftermingle)
Who: everyone
When: Day 32, morning
Where: the clearing
[As the final session of exploring the town ends, it's getting close to dawn.
There's a break of about an hour, while the explorers return, licking their wounds. Then, a flash of dark, violet sparkles, and a petite young man with many many wings appears, standing atop the train.
Some of you have heard his voice before, speaking of justice in Trials. You might've heard about him, and how there's "something wrong with him", too. This is The Angel, and his wings are dyed a deep black, with feathers falling out in a sickly way. He doesn't look too pleased, but he also doesn't look like he's about to attack.]
So, you searched. What did you find out? I want to know if you really think this universe is worth saving.
If it's not... Then there's no point to your existence, is there?
[Well. He's not attacking yet, anyway. He is taking a moment to gesture at your deertaur companion though -- a wisp of black wind is pulled out of his mouth.]
I'll give you one chance.
[At least your dead companions are safe? They're waking up now in their rooms, none the worse for wear. But they remember dying, and they have a deep sense that they've seen a kind of void no person should ever look into.]

Was it okay if she was still freaked out a little?
Not thinking enough to change out of her practically ruined kigu, she makes her way outside to see... some guy who looked part bird, on the train. He looked fairly important, but even that wasn't the most pressing thing on her mind. See, she'd forgotten to do something, and it was really important! So if you pass by her, she's just going to wave!
And smile!
(It's good, not being in the dark.)]
I'm sorry I wasn't much help with finding things, I'll try to not get caught up next time. [She's also trying not to look shell-shocked, but...] My name's Morning, I'm new to the whole hero thing.

...You don't have to apologize. You...just arrived, didn't you?
[Look at this tall severe lady with the bad rbf. Okay not really tall, she short, but she is regal.]
no subject
Yes, but that still doesn't... that guy doesn't look like he wants excuses.
[She points to the feathery dude on top of the train.]

[It's fine it's not like she's a queen or anyth--oh, wait.]

[A heavy question, but not a difficult one. Not really.]
All I got to know was that this place was in a country at war for a long time. No one wants to live in fear, but people were still living and writing about their favorite restaurants and stuff.
That's really admirable. Not to say that people have to be brave to live, just that it's an extra notch towards of course it is!

Morning, huh? You must be pretty new.

Well, I picked Morning. I probably had a different name but I couldn't tell you what it was.
Good guess! Is it this lively all the time?
no subject
I'm Rean, by the way. How're you holding up with all the uh, excitement?
no subject
So-so? I'll probably freak out about it all later, but it's still nice to meet you.

I'm Cat of Thyme. Or, at least, that is who I am here.

Is it bad that I'm not more bothered about what I don't remember about myself?

What if I don't like who I am?

Makes me wonder if all of us are that way or if we just haven't met the resident jerk yet.

in any case. he hadn't expected to see her again. and when he does he half-freezes. ]
..... they brought you back. [ it's not a question, but a statement. he should have known they would. it's the way of things. they're too valuable not to- ]
. ... ...... Why are you apologizing?
no subject
[Maybe unlucky, but she doesn't want to think of it that way. Just being in the sun is good enough to live for! Dying sucks!
It was so scary, to be so quick.
She's just going to. Lean on him a bit.]
Cause I messed up.
no subject
... you did? [ proces..sing, what? ]
I'm the one who left you behind.
no subject
You did warn me about the danger, and I'm sure you didn't leave me on purpose. Unless this is a confession of your dastardly deeds.
[She giggles, but it's a bit wrong coming out. Too high-pitched, overly forced.]
It would have been great if you'd managed to get me out, but wouldn't us both dying have made it worse? Think about it.
