I don't know if it helps, but...I guess in the end, the best I can offer is that if we keep fighting, and keep trying, then even if the end comes, I'll never have to wonder if it'd been different if I hadn't given up.

Maybe it's an odd way to keep hope going, but I don't know that any bright-hearted speeches would go over that well.

There are things that I need to accomplish before I die. If I am consumed, along with my world, where will my soul find itself? Heh, I won't even be able to haunt my enemies, but I can't find them.

So even talk of "fighting" until the end, isn't good enough for me.

Of course not. But if I told you we'd surely win, you'd never believe me--and with good reason, since I can't really guarantee it, can I?

All I can tell you is this. The only antidote to hopeless odds is to find reasons to keep going anyway.
