...I haven't really been sleeping. Not since I got here.

...I don't really need to, but I doubt I could if I did. [A pause.] There's a number of herbs we can grow for teas that help sleep, if it comes down to it.

Mostly I drink coffee.

You need to get sleep, stimulants will only last so long.

I know. And the crashes are nasty.

So, I'll look in to something that could help you sleep. I doubt I can just buy everyone on the train pets.

Okay. At least, petwise— though they're not really pets. I do have Isildur and Isolde. Lori too now. They help me feel safe and they get fussy if I have them up too late with me.

That's good of them. I'm not sure I'd really call any companion animal a pet, in the end, but the word sounds cuter, doesn't it?

Yeah. Honestly, I've gotten mad before at people calling them pets— there's a big difference with familiars, right? But pet is as cute as they are.
