Who: newbies + you
When: Day 22, evening
Where: around
[This evening, out of nowhere, Hazel's carriage disappears. There's a shower of sparkles, a bright light, and after that... it's gone. Anyone who was in its hallway is now in the Garden entrance. The Garden car itself is now hooked to Clover's carriage, as if it had aways been and Hazel was never real. Clover itself is currently bare as well -- the lock screen is dull, completely turned off, and there are no lights inside. No one is there, now, but at least the space remains.
In some carriages, that loss of vibrancy is countered by the appearance of some new heroes. In general, the gloomy mood throughout the train is only heightened by the onset of a heavy storm. Outside there's a crack of thunder that rattles the train, and it begins to pour so hard the edge of the clearing is barely visible through the windows.
The rain, the thunder, and the strobe-light effect of constant lightning will continue til dawn.]

[like she can just avoid him herself because, oddly, despite everything part of her doesn't want him to go out of his way.]
If I let everyone whose opinion did not matter affect me to such debilitating degrees every time, I would never progress in anything.

like that catches her a bit off guard like]
Why would it be? That is the point. There is no hardship if I ignore what does not matter.

it's a lie and it's not, but she's just met rean, does not like rean, and so feels no compunction to be truthful, honest, or to make an effort.]
It is what it is. I will do as I must.

[He has his own opinions but she's obviously stubborn and not open to talking so he isn't sure what else to say.]
Well. All that aside, it's interesting how you could read my state so easily. Are you a witch?
no subject
I am a mage, not a witch.

What's the difference?

Witchcraft lacks conventional, appreciable structure in its disciplines. It is wild and arcane, often difficult to control.

I perceive different forms of energy and beings. I cannot say all the time now, because we are from different worlds and so foreign entities may lie beyond my capabilities.
[again, not telling the scope of her shit because TRUST!! but she concedes after a moment:]
I can also detect water.
[that might be useful to others, so.]
