[Well. Some of us may have had entirely too exciting a morning, but this afternoon, anyone going through the train will find tables set up with piles of flower crowns on them and signs reading 'decorative bond, please take one'. There's a preposterous amount of them, more than enough for everyone on the train to have their own flower crown.

There are also baskets of flowers set out in the lounge, and instructions for making your own crown, if none of them suit your fancy. This is clearly harmless stress relief, Aurora, go for it.]

I'm wondering if I should be celebrating Noblegarden. Normally in spring there are ... holiday things, I guess. Goes with the flower crowns.

[She's... a little homesick.]

[She didn't have a great impression of Emilia, but...she can't help but be sympathetic, about that.]

...We usually make them in spring and summer, since there are more flowers. They'd be for friendship, serenity and love...though we haven't had the joy to celebrate that in some years.

[A pause.]

I can't really tell what season it's meant to be here. The flowers outside don't seem to care.

Maybe we can say it's spring here until we get evidence otherwise.

We should really think about setting up a calendar if we're going to be here for a long time. At least to count days and see how long takes us to purify a prism, for a baseline...

[She puts a crown with yellow flowers on, to match the glow of her eyes.]

Yes. Senna's bond is decoration.

[She considers the crown emilia's wearing, and then pulls a yellow rose out of the basket, to stick it on the center of the crown. There, now it's majestic.]

A calendar isn't a bad idea, but we'd need to find someone who's been here since this started. [Or ask Cardamom, but he's not readily available.]

The more sparks we all get, the better. If you have leftovers I can help put them up as wreaths.

[Emilia looks VERY startled to be touched, and pats the thing once it's in place to make sure it's not like, a bomb or somesuch.]

I have enough flowers to make a lot more...if people don't want to keep the crowns, maybe I can just leave something out for them to put them in to make wreaths.

These are all from the outside, right? I was going to ask how the greenhouse was going.

The roses are from the greenhouse. I just gathered some of the outdoor flowers for more variety.

[She doesn't know how the chain works either so she won't comment on that.]

They bloom much faster than they would naturally. We can't plant trees but at the speed the flowers grow and bloom, a vegetable and herb garden, and some fruit and berry bushes, are definitely viable much faster than I was worried about.

Oh. Good. That was the practical factor I was thinking a greenhouse wouldn't be enough for. Good.

[She takes the flower crown off to examine the rose. This is definitely a rose that looks like it's been growing a lot longer than they've had the greenhouse. Interesting.]

Do you think we could get it supplying part or all of our food? I'm ... just asking if it's possible, at this stage.

[Parts of rose plants are edible? The hips? She's not sure what part of a rose the hip is. Maybe a book will have it.]

It's difficult to say, but I doubt it could supply all our food, especially if there's more people who can't subsist on vegetables. That said, it can probably support the number of people I think are on the train now...I'd just be concerned with what happens if we get a lot more.

[The rose is a delicate thing. Yellow, but fading to red at the tips of the petals, giving it a sunset-like appearance. It's healthy, in full bloom, and smells fantastic. Yeah, that's definitely from an older plant than four days.]

[It's lovely. The colors are muted from the way she remembers seeing as a living person, but they're still distinguishable. She got a little lucky there.]

I need meat. I'm sure other people do. But ... [frown] I don't think this place is a cult any more, but I'd feel better if we had something to fall back on if something goes wrong with making food appear out of friendship power.

...It's not a bad precaution. I just feel as though we should attempt to be united in our self-sufficiency, as a group. Whether or not what we've been told is true, if people aren't willing to trust each other...

So plans like that should be made to encourage everyone to chip in. Once working together becomes a habit, it's easier to do, even for people who don't trust others.

I don't think most people care about self-sufficiency.

Most people never have to be. Societies are built around the idea of working together, at least to some extent.

[Shrugging. Y'all gonna have to learn to communicate, no way around it.]

But humans--and the passengers here seem to be mostly human or human-shaped enough to behave the same--are pack animals. It'll be easier to progress if we work as a group, instead of just along these team lines.

People are... difficult. Difficult to get moving. Difficult to keep moving.

Working with them--leading them--is a skill like any other. And an unforgiving job...if you want people to move, you may never falter in their view.

[She sighs, almost imperceptibly softly.] A lot of pressure, to focus on a single point.
