[The trial zone doesn't exactly appear to be inthe best shape. It's the ruins of an old building, something once grand, perhaps a castle, with a strange statue of sorts with six spheres leading to a large seventh on a pedestal. It's possible t see a forest beyond the walls, though find a way out to that seems impossible, and plants have overgrown almost everything.]

[On the statue's pedestal is an inscription:
Three tribes that brought a storm,
Winter brought them to task.
Eventually things would become warm,
What in return did springtime ask?]

[Not so far beyond it appears to be stairs leading down into the earth. And to the side of that is a throne.]

[And on the throne is....someone new in Senna colors? Though perhaps the hair is enough of a give away. Though those with a keen eye may yet notice she's still wearing her geode still, with the distinctive cutie mark still on it.]

[She's lounged across the throne, legs kicked over one side, elbow resting on the other, head in hand.]

I'm bored. [And she offers a grin that has a dangerous glint to it.]

We could try to reach Prince Cardamon, but I doubt he'd be helpful.

Cardy would know better than anyone else. But how do we get in touch with him when he's not making one of his appearances?

Not a bad idea.

If we can at least exclude some things, we can start to work on this. Having someone willing to run trials that intentionally hurt others, and the power to do so, is not safe.

Certainly, it's not safe for Senna at the moment. I was paired with their new member, and at the moment, I wouldn't trust Solar near him.

The problem is that other corrupted residents have also run trials like this in the past. I don't think it's something Cardy can prevent. But we should be able to do something about us getting corrupted. Since we were brought here to save everyone.

Senna's newest?

The blue-skinned one. I don't think he has a name yet.

Oh yeah, I've talked to him a few times. Totally forgot about the name thing. I'll have to give him some suggestions.

I didn't think to offer at the time. But if Senna persists in not giving him a name, someone has to step in.

[ Gives her a fang-filled grin and sets a finger against his jaw ]

Oh, I could probably come up with a few. I'm great with names.

[ Lets gaze drift a bit, losing the tiniest bit of his playfulness ]

Though maybe once things settle down again. He and Solar probably have some things to talk out first.

[ Felix is mostly frustrated that she's doing this to herself. And to people she and he cares about.

He sighs and then tries to straighten up again. ]

First, we need to figure out how to snap her out of whatever's going on. She says it has something to do with her world back home. But I haven't seen anything like this in any of her memories.

[ Though he hasn't seen every single one either. ]

Does the library have books on her homeworld? Or could we request them?

[ He gives her a curious look. That just might work. ]

I know Cardamon brought in anything we might have written some time ago. I found a few of my childhood diaries.

[and she's not happy about that]

Oh, I think I heard about that! Childhood diaries, huh? Hopefully not anything too embarrassing.

[ What he wouldn't give for something that would help him remember more about his childhood. Other than meeting Fatalis back then. ]

No, mostly a lot of details that my 8 year old self considered vitally important. And complaints about my younger brother.

And what did 8-year-old Cat consider vitally important?

Doing well at school. Holidays. My mother making my favorite dessert after dinner, and letting me help. Being an older sister and being treated like I was an adult. I haven't remembered my own childhood yet, but it seems to have been happy.

[ Smiles fondly at the thought of a peaceful childhood like that, one he knows for sure he didn't have ]

Those sound like good priorities to me. What was your favorite dessert?

Honeyed saltcakes. I can't remember what they taste like, though. Beyond 'honey and salt'.

I am down for anything with honey in the name. We should see if we can make them here.

I'll try to ask for a recipe book. I do want to make holiday stew. I mentioned it to my partner, and it sounds comforting. And I remember how to make that.

I might have to make several batches if I want to share; no one on Thyme likes salt as much as I do.

Holiday stew? What's in that?

I don't know. I like salt quite a bit.
