[ And by "doing her level best to make chocolate chip cookies" I mean, she can be found sitting on the floor, cradling a mixing bowl and spoon in her lap, her head nodding sleepily. ]

[Coffee being exchanged for spoon and mixing bowl.]
no subject
[ oh ]
Dusk-nii. Hi. [ Sleepily takes the coffee, thank u ]
no subject
My body needs less sleep then yours.
I feel like I should say that before I ask if you slept at all last night?
[Started mixing stuff in the bowl now.]
no subject
[ Breathes in the coffee-scented steam, and takes a very tentative sip ... takes a deeper one, sighing through her nose. ]
... I tried. Couldn't get comfortable.
no subject
[Because he's still weirded out he doesn't have the general discomfort.]
no subject
You might not notice because you're used to it, but you've got a lot of aches and pains ... So that, plus being in the wrong body, plus my own insomnia, leaves me with.
This.
[ TAKES A GULP ]
no subject
[But that seems like a no go.]
[Then wtf man.]
Hmmm, I do notice sometimes. After I take memories of younger me. Really, it's a miracle my joints as in as good of shape as they are.
[Holds out a bit of cookie dough for her.]
no subject
[ She'll take the cookie dough, though. ]
You must've gotten yourself a good doctor somewhere along the way. [ NOM. ]
... It's weird how different things taste when you're in somebody else's body, too. [ Not that it's stopping her. Cookie dough is delicious no matter what okok. ]
no subject
Well, Doctor Gray is a genius. Crazy, but a genius. Plus I had a healing unit thing, dunno how long.
Different taste buds. [Shrugs.] Wanna leave the dough to set for a while or right on the sheet?
no subject
[ Finally drags herself up to her feet, using the counter for support. ]
I'd have thought you'd at least have trouble with things like our height difference and reach. I keep missing things and tripping over my legs; they're never where I expect them to be.
... Mm. And I guess in Kyriakos, we had the same expedited healing we get here.
[ Pulls over one of the baking sheets, already lined with paper. ]
Golf ball-sized balls on the sheet, a couple of inches apart.

Also got a lot of her memories and she's shorter too. All used to her perspective. Not sure what else it could be.
...maybe. Iota certainly had access to advanced tech, if nothing else. And our pendants do heal.
[Nodding and gonna start dutifully doling out cookie dough.]
no subject
[ No, that wouldn't be - ]
[ Or would it? ]
[ She's quiet a moment, helping him shape dough balls. She ... accidentally smushes one or two, and curses under her breath. STUPID STRONG HANDS. But once they're fixed - ]
... Could it have something to do with Feather?

Dusk is so tired.
no subject
[ Which were annoying but didn't seem particularly exhausting. ]
no subject
[ you sweet, sweet summer child ]
[ She doesn't quite laugh, but it's a near thing. ]
The trials can be exhausting in their own way. Like if you're not an extrovert, the party games can really wear you down ... and then there's the dangerous ones. [ Rubs her eyes with the back of her hand. ]
Dusk's the kind of person who doesn't let himself rest as often as he should. We arrived at the same time but he must have three or four times the amount of sparks I've managed to earn.
no subject
I didn't realize just hanging out with people could wear you down.
Sparks? What are those?
no subject
So ... if you're the type who likes to dive head-first into bonding, you'll love it.
[ She blinks, surprised, at the question. ]
Eh? Uhm ... when we bond, or take part in trials and things like that, we generate "Sparks of Light". Sparks for short. For people like me, who've lost all their memories, or others who lost all their powers, it's how we get them back ... and it's part of how we purify each world's Prism and free it from the Malice.
Oh, and it's a currency, too. We use it to buy things we need or want.
no subject
[ He shifts his eyes at the mention of sparks as currency. ]
They can't buy what I want.
no subject
As for Dusk ... Like I said, he's the kind of person who doesn't let himself rest as often as he should. [ A sigh, fond but exasperated. ] When he sets his heart on something, he's all in.
[ Shifts the mixing bowl on her lap. ]
... They can't buy everything, mm. But if you wanted a personal item from home, or a pet, or to redecorate your room or make a meal for a bunch of people, you'll need to use them.
no subject
If he uses up all his energy like that, he won't be able to enjoy the special moments.
All I want is to get back to my friends. The other stuff doesn't matter. I never really had it anyway.
[ Except for maybe one thing... ]
... It would be nice if I still had my Thalassa shell.
no subject
You will get back to them. It might take some time, but you'll definitely get there. We all will.
What's a Thalassa shell..?
no subject
[ He sighs and looks at his empty open hand. ]
It's a shell you can only find on Destiny Islands. My friend brought me some when I was... sick.
[ Coma, sick, it's all the same, right? ]
When I... lost her for a while, it was all I had left.
[ Who knows what happened to it after his fight with Riku and the mess with the other Twilight Town. ]
no subject
[ She sobers, though, listening to him speak of his shell. ]
I can see why it's so important to you ... If you want, I can try to help you earn enough sparks to buy it.
