You might not notice because you're used to it, but you've got a lot of aches and pains ... So that, plus being in the wrong body, plus my own insomnia, leaves me with.
This.
[ TAKES A GULP ]
no subject
[But that seems like a no go.]
[Then wtf man.]
Hmmm, I do notice sometimes. After I take memories of younger me. Really, it's a miracle my joints as in as good of shape as they are.
[Holds out a bit of cookie dough for her.]

[ She'll take the cookie dough, though. ]
You must've gotten yourself a good doctor somewhere along the way. [ NOM. ]
... It's weird how different things taste when you're in somebody else's body, too. [ Not that it's stopping her. Cookie dough is delicious no matter what okok. ]

Well, Doctor Gray is a genius. Crazy, but a genius. Plus I had a healing unit thing, dunno how long.
Different taste buds. [Shrugs.] Wanna leave the dough to set for a while or right on the sheet?

[ Finally drags herself up to her feet, using the counter for support. ]
I'd have thought you'd at least have trouble with things like our height difference and reach. I keep missing things and tripping over my legs; they're never where I expect them to be.
... Mm. And I guess in Kyriakos, we had the same expedited healing we get here.
[ Pulls over one of the baking sheets, already lined with paper. ]
Golf ball-sized balls on the sheet, a couple of inches apart.

Also got a lot of her memories and she's shorter too. All used to her perspective. Not sure what else it could be.
...maybe. Iota certainly had access to advanced tech, if nothing else. And our pendants do heal.
[Nodding and gonna start dutifully doling out cookie dough.]
no subject
[ No, that wouldn't be - ]
[ Or would it? ]
[ She's quiet a moment, helping him shape dough balls. She ... accidentally smushes one or two, and curses under her breath. STUPID STRONG HANDS. But once they're fixed - ]
... Could it have something to do with Feather?
no subject
[Making cookies globs, no problem.]
Feather...? Aren't you Feather?
no subject
[ But! Okay. Fine. She'll slow down, focusing more on her hands. ]
... I'm - I don't think of myself as "Feather". [ Or Aoko, or anything other than Faito. ] But the me inside you really identified with the name, so that's what we called her.

...the weird anomaly thing? [Pause.] Is thing offensive when it's part of my soul?
no subject
[ She's allowed dessert before dinner when she's stuck in her brother's body, ok. ]
[ ... ]
I'd call her "she". [ Calling her a "thing" just feels wrong. ]
no subject
[Excuse you, you're the one who gets on his case about having his fruity, whipped creamed desserts too early.]
She it is.
no subject
[ Also she's allowed to be a hypocrite, these are exceptional circumstances. ]
Yeah. So. If there's a part of you that's used to feeling like me ... however the heck that happened, it maybe, kinda, almost makes sense? She's used to it, even if you aren't.
no subject
......
Why is my soul so fucking weird. I don't even know how that works or if I even do feel like...you? Jesus. [He does. She's the little voice who reminds him to not be a psycho when he REALLY wants to fly off the handle.]
no subject
Souls are weird. Magic is weird. These places [ gestures vaguely ] are weird and bullshit.
no subject
They are. Its one big headache. [SIGHS]
no subject
Mmhm. On the bright side ... if anyone was gonna end up in my body, you're the one I'd trust the most.
no subject
Hmmm, I'll take care of it. Kinda weird, but it's almost easier to compensate for the difference then 80H's and that was after running around in a body like hers a while.
[And. Memories.]
I'd say the same, but honestly, I think most other people might treat my body better than I would.
