EVENT: Upgrade!

Where: The train!

[ There is a new car attached to the back of the train. You'll have to get past the garden, the gym, and the library to get to... the arcade.

Near the entrance is where you'll find the conveniently-placed machines to get tokens to play any of the arcade games. It seems to be a formality because it doesn't actually cost you any sparks to play the games, but be sure to swing by there before you hit up the games. And what an array there are! Overall, there's two floors filled with various types of games.

There's the crane games, filled with various cute plush versions of monsters you may have faced before (both during your stay on the Aurora and back home) as well as, more rarely-- is that a plush of yourself? Or one of your teammates perhaps, someone you care about on the train. It might be worth trying to pick one up!

Next of course are the video games and there's an array for all kinds of interests-- Rhythm games of all types, fighting games, shooting games, racing games... There's no shortage of different types you can play. Try one out, you might like it!

There's also a variety of purikura photo booths if you and/or a friend would like to try your hand at getting a cute set of sticker photos.

You've got some time to relax for the moment, so why not try it out at the arcade? ]

[ He doesn't notice that there is someone watching him as he bends down to retrieve the item. What is he going to do with two of these? ]

I guess I could give the cat to...

[He trails off, staring at the stuffed cat. He sighs, before finding the nearest trash can to slam both of them in. He's not in the greatest mood. ]

That seems a waste.

[she's going to fetch them from the trash. Luckily, there was nothing else in there.]

[ He jumps a little, surprised. Why does she always sneak up on him? ]

You can have them. I don't want them.

No. You meant to give them to someone, at least one of them. I think...it would make them happy to do so, so you should follow through with that.

[ His face is about the color of his hair, being called out so suddenly. But it's true. She would have loved it. ]

They aren't...here...anymore.

[voreaciously]

[Her fingers tighten around the stuffed toys for a moment.]

...I see. I am sorry. But people have been known to wake up again.

[ He's not sure that's something he could even wish for. ]

It's stupid. I barely knew her more than a couple of days.

[ Shouldn't be a big deal. ]

There could be a reason for that. People are surprising.

[She doesn't want to explain possibilities, it seems...cruel to do so when he cannot confirm or disprove them, for now,

She's just someone from back home. It's not like she's the only one either.

[ Somehow Isuzu isn't exactly the same though. ]

It's probably better this way anyway.

[ He would. He completely would as long as she was here with him. He's pathetic and the worst. ]

[she does not believe him, but she does not know him well enough to press the point.]

It is fine not to want to be alone, though.

[She offers his toys back.]

Keep these. You never know. It is not good to waste, at any rate.

[ He doesn't care if you believe him or not. Just don't question him on it! But he takes the stuffed animals she offered from her hands. ]

Fine. I won't throw them in the trash anymore.

[ He was just mad. ]

[ A pause. Too much of one. ]

I don't dislike them.

...probably.

Oh. You simply seemed upset to win one, so I wondered.

That girl is...a fan of cats. So it was just bad timing.
