Who: anyone
When: Day 53, evening
Where: the lounge & dining car

[So there were no nice breakfast and video games this morning, but there is a nice dinner and video games this evening!

Francis has made pizzas from scratch -- enough for everyone to have a few slices. They're all vegetarian, for obvious reasons! Those are laid out on the tables in the dining car, so have at.

Upstairs in the lounge the TV has been hooked up to a console that looks like a Switch with the serial numbers filed off and a lot of sparkles. Your game options are, essentially, Mario Kart and Smash, only... all the playable characters are just the Heroes themselves, including past characters you may remember!

This is friendly PVP go punch your video game self in the face.]

Quick learner. Plus, I play this more than I should.

There's no should when it comes to video games. You're learning crucial life skills.

I'll accept that the moment when video games will literally save my life, thanks!

Hand-eye coordination. Also I learned to drive from the driving ones.

. . . seriously?

[ spoken dryly ]

I was pretty certain that driving in reality is a hell of a lot different from Mario Kart. And hand-eye coordination is something you can learn in things that aren't games.

Who said it was that driving game?

I just gave it as an example. Which game was it, then?

I don't remember names. Just that it was probably one of those hyper realistic ones where you could flip your car and die horribly.

Oh, right. Weird amnesia thing.

. . . I don't know too many hyper-realistic ones that use all the regular car mechanics.

Not all of them but enough that you can feel your way around the rest. I mean, it's probably nowhere as good as actual instruction. But you take what you can get when you're on your own, right?

That's true. Admittedly, I've never had to drive. Not that I'm old enough to.

I have a feeling I learned... earlier than I should have.

That sometimes. . . happens, I guess.

Guess so. Either way, life skill for some of us.
