Who: Crow and Rean
When: Day 50, afternoon into evening
Where: first Ginger Car, then the Beach

[ So, sometimes you ask a guy that you definitely aren't going out with on a date. You know, just spending some quality time romancing a guy who definitely isn't your boyfriend. It's fine, don't worry about it.

Anyway.

Crow had originally intended to take Rean out on their date within a day or so of asking him, but one thing led to another and it's been fifteen. Whoops. Either way, he's showing up now at Ginger's car, dressed very nicely and he's knocking. He could just call Rean over telepathically but why not go the whole nine yards? Crow's always enjoyed being Extra. ]

[Rean opens the door and blinks.]

Uh. Wow. You look nice.

[ Crow grins at that, winking at Rean. ]

Thanks, I try. Come on, let's get going.

[ It would help if he'd explained anything at all probably. It's too bad he (deliberately) neglected to tell Rean it was time for their date (he thought it would be more dramatic that way). ]

[Rean is absolutely confused but he's always one to go with the flow. He steps out, scratching his cheek.]

Should I get changed?

I wouldn't say "no" to that corset.

[ He shakes his head though, still smiling. ]

You can if you want to! I'll let that be your call.

...I can put that on, sure. Where are we going?

To the beach! I'm treating you to dinner.

[ Let's see how long it takes Rean to realize this is a date. ]

Really?

[He puts a hand on his hip.]

Sure, give me a minute.

[Hell leave the door open for Crow and head van in to change into his fancy noble knight corset and coat etc.]

[ Crow waits patiently for Rean to get back and eyerakes him when he returns. ]

Damn, you really do look hot like that. If I didn't already have plans for you, I'd take you somewhere more private.

[ But he does have plans, so he instead de-inventories a bouquet of flowers. ]

These are for you.

What ...

[He takes them automatically but... flowers, a nice outfit, dinner...]

Is this a date!?

[ There it is. Crow's grin is positively brilliant. ]

I told you I'd take you out on one!

Roght now??

[He wasn't prepared!!]

Right now!

[ He offers Rean his arm to take before they head out. ]

There's no time like the present.

[He's flustered but he takes the arm. It's not like he isn't happy.]

You could give a guy warning!

I could've.

[ His tone's agreeable as he starts walking towards the beach with Rean on his arm. ]

But the idea of surprising you had too much appeal not to go with it.

[He concedes grudgingly, keeping step with Crow.]

Your face when you figured it out was really cute.

[ So it was definitely worth it. ]

[He's being bullied?? This isn't fair.]

[ He laughs like the jerkbird he is. Surely this is romance. ]

Anyway, I can rearrange if you have other plans.

[ He doesn't want to, but he's not going to demand anything. ]

I done have any plans, don't worry. Besides, I'd hate to spoil our date before it even starts.

The only thing that'd be spoiled is the surprise of how good I look in this outfit. I wouldn't mind waiting for you.

[ But he doesn't have to! And selfishly, he's glad. ]

You do look great. It really suits you.

Honestly though, you're full of surprises.

I thought it'd be nice to try something new for our date. And as for surprises...

[ He winks at Rean. ]

Most of 'em are even good ones.

[ His tone's playful as he says that-- and yes, he knows that's implying there's some bad ones. ]

[He lets that slide with a return smile.]

I'm looking forward to all of them.

[Good or bad, he wants to know Crow better.]

All of 'em, huh? I'll have to remember you said that.

[ Though he realizes he doesn't even know more than a fair few of his own secrets himself. Still, despite what he says there's a small doki at those words. It's nice to know Rean wants to know the bad parts of him, too. ]

[He doesn't want Crow to hide anything from him after all. Crow is not just his Awakener, though that'd be enough, but also his friend.]
