[BOND]
Who: lucky + unfortunate bystanders
When: day 43, afternoon
Where: the dining area
[SO TRAINGOERS. You may still be having water gun fights or you may have gotten bored of it, but if you're heading into the lounge to relax (or the kitchen to refill your water gun), you'll have to get past Lucky! He's taken over the table nearest the entrance to the car, dangling fairy lights from the ceiling and sprinkling silk rose petals on the table and the floor around it. There's a hand-scrawled posterboard hanging from the table's edge:
KISSING BOOTH
FREE
for good luck!!
If you try to pass he'll call out, so good luck trying to escape. But hey, if you play along you'll get sparks...
Or, y'know, you could be doing something totally unrelated in this post.]

turns around, facing away from sunset and fussing over the dragon]
Lori, be good, okay? No defense, alert only, okay, good girl?
Solar Flare, can you step into the circle? Lori might get scary, but she won't leave her perch on me.

[But magic.]
[BUT MAGIC.]
[She will step into the circle because she absolutely needs to know if she still has it.]
no subject
Okay! Okay, great, great out of the circle now, that's actually really itchy.
[scuffing her foot over all the chalk lines to break the rings]

Is that...a dramatic reaction? What does it mean?
[BTW, she was still magically connected to the geode. Wearing it is just convenience, it takes a lot more distance to break the connection, so if Eliza could tell, there's two sources of magic. Sunset's own that's more or less trapped in her body, and the Geode which is just being a powerful artifact.]

CLAPS HER HANDS]
It is and it's good news! Congratulations, you've got magic!

[And that]
[That is such a relief because she really did fear she just had none and that any hope she had of getting it back was beyond her reach. And that's hard when part of her Special Talent IS magic, even if she can't remember it. It's like her memories, and body, having it just be gone or wrong is a horrifying existential fear.]
I have magic.
I still have magic.
[Nope, those are the tears again and Eliza is now just getting a big hug.] I have magic!
[bond]
You've got magic!
Re: [bond]
Thank you thank you thank you!

You're super super super welcome! I'm glad it worked!

[But Sunset will eventually let go, but she's also kind of bouncing and she glances back at the corner. Her smile widens.]
Hey, give me like....fifteen minutes? Yeah, I think I can get the outline done in fifteen and coloring with fingers should be easy enough. How about you get...whatever you need for hair stuff?

[But she's grabbing up the chalk and back down on the ground, and gonna start drawing again.]

[By the time Eliza comes back, it'll mostly just be the outline she's got done, but the chalk drawing is certainly a lot bigger now. Another day lily to be another framing, but the main focus is a stylized woman. With bone wings, with floating feathers between the sections of bones to look less menacing as more just style choice and a unicorn horn on a girl with layered light green and gold dress.]
[Girl is definitely supposed to be Eliza, but short on time for details and it's also chalk but it'll certainly be more obvious once she's actually got more color.]
[Alicons are basically pony angels okay okay.]
no subject
Oh wow! Oh wow, you really went at it!
no subject
[And grabbing a piece of chalk to color between the lines. Holding the shalk more like she was holding a pole like a little kid would then proper writing utensil holding.]
no subject
Want me to show you how I hold chalk? It's my usual medium.
no subject
Ah. Well, if you want. [Blushing a bit, the sheepishness just increasing.]
Huh? Oh, sure, I guess I should figure that out.
no subject
[scooping up two pieces of chalk, one held in a pinch and the other like a pencil. options!]
no subject
[But watching her pick up the pieces, and tries positioning her fingers the same way.]
[Takes a minute until she has it sitting right.]
...huh, doesn't feel as weird as I thought...

[That is a lot harder while thinking about it. Her penmanship is absolutely terrible, but it's...kind of legible????]

[Also writing down Solar Flare slowly at first because she has to like. See the word down before she can even try for fast.]
