The Seventeeth Trial
Who: trialgoers
When: Day 39, evening
Where: The Cat's Zone
[Have you enjoyed your day playing in your new train cars? Great! Because now it's Trial Time.
With the usual alert, the Cat's bar appears in the clearing. There's no "come hither" -- instead, just the pounding of bass from the speakers as the door cracks open. Inside there's flashing party lights, upbeat club music, and high-top tables surrounding a wide dance floor. The stage in the corner is empty except for a single microphone.
At the bar you can get free drinks, but you'll have to contend with the bartender -- a black cat curled up on the shelf between the bottles.
On the bar, and on every table, is a sign showing the rules of this game, titled:
Kiss or Dare
If you want to dress up for the club, or want costumes for daring purposes, there's a dressing room behind the stage with a magic closet. You'll find whatever you like in it, but when the trial ends you can only take home what you're wearing!
Good luck!]

Also that just sounds really uncomfortable. I'd like to feel my toes by the end of the night.

[And since he's got a Dare.]
Though I gotta tell you, things might get weird. I did remember how I was cursed to live life after life after life reincarnated into different forms, gathering experience and skills until I became the Great Destroyer until I could find the perfect outfit that was befitting my original life that I can no longer remember. I've tried an assortment of different outfits, but it is possible because I ended up a man more often than not, I limited myself. It is princesses who often get cursed so there may be a sudden curse breaking and I will realize my potential as a great cosmic force of life.
[Said all with a completely and utterly straight face.]

Well then, you had better get started.

Off to find my destiny as the cosmic force princess.
[And off to get dressed.]
[And comes back in a pink dress, heeled boots because at least more surface area for the heel, and bracelet with blue flowers on it.] Ta da.

[she whips out her chain and will snap when he does]
Thank you.

She starts to sing in the microphone but it's very, very quiet. It is Habanera from Carmen, but it is nearly impossible to tell. Her voice is scratchy and off. Once, once, there's a moment, a set of notes that ring clear and it is a tremendously beautiful sound, brilliant, like lightning arcing across the night sky, strong and effortlessly worthy of attention, but it is gone just as quick and she is back to quiet, awful murmuring until the song is complete.]

[That is certainly A Thing.]
[He's just watching her as she gets off stage, studying her, a look of concern on his face.]
Are you okay?
no subject
Yes, I am fine. Let us continue. I dare you to construct a pyramid of glasses that is eight by eight at the base.
no subject
[What the fuck even.]
[But if it's that bad, it's not something to push right away, especially not in a trial.]
All right.
[Time to get glasses and clear out a space on the floor to work.]
I dare you to tell me your most entertaining Jasmine story.
[Hard subject change from singing.]
