Don't worry. The residents of this train are all allies. There's no threat of attack from inside that I'm aware of.

It's hard to trust that when I woke up hurting with everyone around me also hurting.

A reasonable fear, yes. Occasionally there are negative consequences from a Trial -- we'd been playing a game for our own well-being. Ostensibly they're meant to promote "bonding", but the group administering them seem to have abhorrent social skills.

But they aren't the ones who live with us.
