Who: Heroes
When: Day 36 night
Where: Back outside the train
[Well. You’re all in some kind of. State. A rather chagrined voice mutters on the wind;]
That isn’t quite how I envisioned it going…
[At any rate! There are new stars in the sky in ginger goldenrod, thyme apple and senna terracotta.
Well how are you all doing?]

with his heart in his hand.
no literally, his heart has been turned into a mechanical locket and it's just beating-- ticking-- in his hand.
this is fine. he definitely looks like he's in his right mind right now. absolutely. ]

standing, in his way ]
Where are you going?
no subject
The shore. [ it's a low, almost guttural noise that vaguely resembles words. he sounds... out of it ]
Get out of my way.

[ with a gesture to his heart ]

I don't need it.

what if I did that
anyways in between all her other babysitting--]
Just what do you think you're going to do with that.

ras.... less so. ]
I'm getting rid of it. [ stops. ... then scowls. truth effect is the worst. ]

[Do I need to tackle you and steal YOUR heart too?]
no subject
probably. ]

[Can he just sneak up and]
[Take it and bolt?]

well, he can try and get pretty close, but it's like -- he can sense him. feel him just inches before he can snatch his heart.
and in the first place coming up from behind him, where he can't see or ascertain the level of the threat, was possibly a bad idea.
when he feels dusk come up from behind him he spins around with his arm primed to slam his elbow into the face of whoever the hell is trying to attack him ]

[At least his arm was raised, ready to grab at the heart, so he can snap up his arm to take the brunt of the blow.]
[That is a very solid arm.]
[But he isn't engaging, even if he's got a shiny new bruise.]
Hand. It. Over.
Before you do something stupid.
no subject
... ha. ]
Who do you think you are, my mother?

Give it, Midnight. We'll be fixed soon enough.

Wrong way, baby.

Not now. [ there's... a lot more urgency in his voice than usual. ]

C'mere. 80H said she'll take care of it.

[ not sure what kind of response you expected Sophie ]

[ chains rattle out of her sleeves and fire off for his wrists, attempting to bind them together ]

that doesn't stop him from trying, though.
the moment he hears metal he practically bounds several paces back. they go for his wrists, and he tries to twist out of their trajectory but he won't be so lucky. he can't outpace her like this, without his wings. if he gets at least one hand out, he'll grab for the chains at least, steadying himself in case she tries to pull-- ]
It's my body. My heart.

[HONESTLY]
Hey! Midnight!
