I don't know how long it was between when I first woke up here and the second time.

Depends. How frequently do you need to eat to prevent yourself from losing your sense or otherwise from dying?

I don't know how long, exactly--this is still pretty new for me!

Why're you so eager to give away your meat? Shouldn't you take better care of what meat you have left? "Made of magic"--what's that even mean?

[ with a gesture of his hand, which starts to disappear in gold sparkles - not all of it though, and it's quickly returning to solid existence ]

Don't you think if those are your reasons, I'd have similar reasons to not want to? Between our two selfish takes, I'd rather my own win out.

But I'm suggesting it because I'm made of magic. As long as I have enough magical energy, I can regenerate.

When I was growing up until a few years ago, there was a king and a queen who made demands of all the villages in their kingdom. Demands being tributes of soldiers, cattle, children. The last bit seemed odd at first, but then some people understood there was a profit to be made by stealing away children and selling their meats on a market to eventually make their way to the king and queen.

Y'see, the king and queen were hungry things--those monsters in the dark. And that's where all the children went. Into their stomachs.

So I can't say I'm very eager to be eating someone much at all!
