Who: Heroes
When: Day 36 night
Where: Back outside the train
[Well. You’re all in some kind of. State. A rather chagrined voice mutters on the wind;]
That isn’t quite how I envisioned it going…
[At any rate! There are new stars in the sky in ginger goldenrod, thyme apple and senna terracotta.
Well how are you all doing?]

— you too? God damn it, I thought it was just Clover. . .!
[he is, uh. not realizing Levi's heart is a different situation]
no subject
You're going to have to be a little more clear! A lot of things happened all at once!
no subject
[INSTEAD he is just rudely going to press his ear against Levi's chest to listen for a beating heart]
[. . . Levi might notice that he is kind of cold to the touch. . .]
no subject
and uh.
he's certainly familiar with cold bodies what with him. being all. fishy undead thing.
h-hmmm...]
Need something to warm you up?
no subject
[pulls back, brows furrowed, hands falling from Levi's shoulders]
No. I'm okay.
How are you going to fix this?
no subject
And you're not.
For the record, I was dead before I came to this place.
[bluntest of bluntness]
no subject
[how is he supposed to even]
[. . .]
Well, you're obviously not dead now.
no subject
[shrugs a bit, half-hearted]
In any case, if you have trouble keeping warm, just know I know how that feels.
[being the hungry thing is the worst but like. lololol]
no subject
. . . thanks, but I've got it.
I don't want to focus on myself right now.
no subject
Ah, well... my stuff won't make any of your stuff any easier.
no subject
It can't make it any more difficult.
[nothing can]
[he thinks]
no subject
Really?
Then... if I say I'm really hungry and only human flesh will correct that and only temporarily at that, you would say...?
1/2
[white noise]

[the hunger re-surges like a wave at Levi's words, but Spark is quick to press his hand against his mouth, eyes shutting tightly as he fights it off. focus, focus, focus, focus--]
[. . . swallows thickly and shakes his head, steeling his expression, because he isn't about to let it get the best of him]
. . . I would ask-- just to make sure-- if it's as a result of the trial we just had, or if you were like that before arriving here.
no subject
Before. I said I died, didn't I?
It was a partial death. Consequences of eating a mer's flesh is that a person is doomed to live forever. Getting killed after doing so comes with this sort of consequence.
[gestures in a fashion bringing attention to the... Off things about his appearance--the unnatural reflective quality to his green eyes, the grayish color and scaling patterns on his tanned skin, the joints and limbs that are just a tad too long, too flexible. his teeth looks largely normal when he smiles, but really... they're plenty sharp.]
It happened a few months before I woke up here.
no subject
Sorry.
[that doesn't cut it and he knows it]
Sorry. . . that sucks.
no subject
Yes, it does.
But it's what I chose to risk for myself, so it's what I have to live with. So there's no need to feel sorry. You should be focusing on your own troubles for that.
But if you need someone who does understand it, I'm always around for a chat. By the ocean, probably. Merfolk need to keep hydrated, even when they're in this shape.

[Dusk is in possession of his locket right now]
Thanks.
[. . . ugh]
But I came here to help you. Not vice versa.
[is he really that useless?]
no subject
[this isn't comforting but oh well]
no subject
[. . .]
[anyway. . . he says nothing as that and just. looks away, lifting a hand to tug at the ears of his kigurumi again]
no subject
Anyway, ah. Be nice to Randy for a little while. They messed with his head, so he's forgotten pretty much everything.
no subject
-- who?
[looking back at him, puzzled]
no subject
Oh. The big red head on my team. He's a nice guy.
no subject
. . . ah.
[a nod]
Got it.
[amnesia ain't no cakewalk]
