[ He's still struggling, but asking questions was actually a pretty good idea because it's the truth that comes pouring out of his mouth. ]

There was a trial-- my team lost and suddenly there's monsters everywhere.

[Looking around uh.]

There aren't any monsters around Crow.

Who do you think I am?

[ The word comes out angry and biting and raw. ]

You sound like Rean, but--!

....But everything feels wrong.

[ He doesn't mean physically-- physically, he could believe those are Rean's hands and that's Rean's voice but everything inside of him is screaming of chaos and on high alert and everything he's seeing is monsters. ]

Okay. Well drop the guns, and just listen to me okay?

[ Crow doesn't quite drop the guns-- but he does put them away after a long moment, taking a deep breath and nodding. ]

Okay. I'm listening.

[Close enough. He wraps his arms around Crow.]

I am Rean. Everyone around is everyone you know, more or less. There aren't any monsters right now. I don't know what happened in that Trial but your senses are playing with you. You can feel our connection still, right? ...Can you?

[ Crow closes his eyes and takes another deep breath, lets it out slowly as he reaches out to Rean through their connection as Divine Knight and Awakener. Contractor. Same difference. It's... Rean, that feels like Rean and even if he's still tense and confused and can't see straight, he believes in that connection. ]

I feel it. ...I feel you. Rean.

[Leans his face in the back of Crow's neck for a moment, relief radiating off of him when Crow responds like that.]

Yeah. Okay. I can't--I don't think a curia is going to cut it, with this. I'm not sure what to do. But just keep--focusing on me, for now, if that helps at all.

It... helps.

[ Especially if he closes his eyes. ]

You feel... more real than anything else does.

What happened?

There was a trial. Pick traits for ourselves, then guess the other teams. I dunno how well we did on guessing, but... no one guessed us right so we lost. Me, Hlasoh, Lucky. And when I opened my eyes...

[ ... ]

Hey, Rean? What am I supposed to do if I can't even trust myself...?

Easy, trust me.

But... I know it's not that simple. I don't know what to do for this, but we'll figure it out.

"Easy," he says...!

[ That's not easy at all! How do you trust people, he really isn't sure he knows. ]

....Maybe I should just stick to my room by myself until I get better.

That sounds like a good way to go insane.

Yeah but I already feel insane. At least I won't get startled and try to shoot someone that way.

You could give me your guns and weapons. If you don't leave the train you should be safe, and you can assume any monsters you encounter are just people.

I'll keep an eye on you too, and if you want more alone time that's fine, but I don't know how long this will last, and shutting yourself up with potential hallucinations is probably... Not going to make the hallucinations go away. It'll just leave you alone with them.

[ Uggggghhhh! ]

[ He really! Doesn't like it! ]

....Don't think I'd wanna spend the whole time alone, anyway. [ It's a problem when you don't trust people but also don't like being alone. ]

[ It's not really a surprise though, is it? ]

[ Even if he can't really... see straight still. ]

[Letting go so Crow can turn around.]

I'm not the kind of guy who leaves a friend.

[ When he turns around, Rean can see that Crow's closed his eyes. He reaches for Rean, groping about at his chest for a moment until he finds Rean's shoulder. He pats it once or twice before Crow drops his head into the crook of Rean's neck. ]

...I know. It's one of the things I like about you.

[He threads his fingers in Crow's hair, gentle, holding him firmly in his arms.]

Well, I have my good traits.

Randy has amnesia and Faito is sick, I haven't seen Rufus yet. I'm taking them back to ginger. Will you come?
