Who: All the cute little heroes
When: Day 35, evening
Where: Back To Your Regularly Scheduled Great Outdoors, Just outside the train

[ The beach fades away all at once, taking the cheery sunshine with it as evening hits all at once-- it melts away in a shower of sparkles as the familiar setting re-emerges. There are new stars in the sky above in clover pink, senna red, jasmine blue, and licorice violet.

Just before the beach disappears entirely, the bubbly voice speaks once more: ]

Wasn't that so much fun! You all rrrrrreally got to know each other, didn't you? Keep up the good work~!

[ If you had any alcohol in hand you still have it, otherwise everything from the trial is gone. ]

[ I have no idea but Crow would so he just rattles off the range of an orbal gun. It's a pretty respectable range. ]

So if your range goes past that, you'll need to find some other way to test it but... we'll see.

[ He pulls a pair of twin guns from ?thin air? and hands one over to him. ]

[Yeah, he's seen that a few times.]

[It's another one of those he thinks it should be weird, but also 'yeah okay'. His life is weird.]

[He'll take the gun, nodding thoughtfully.]

That range, huh...

[He's making some marks on the trees, and then moving back. Humming in thought and just goes to the full range back.]

[Better to go all out and then move in, right?]

[He takes one shot, towards the forest floor, to test the recoil and feel of the gun.]

So it's like that....then....

[He lifts up the gun and he fires in rapid succession and]

[Well, mid-range firearms are actually his specialty and those aren't moving targets. He hit them all.]

....well shit. I am good with guns.

[ Crow lets out a low whistle. ]

Damn, you aren't kidding! That's impressive! Man, and I thought I was good!

[ Well. He is good. But he's willing to admit when someone else is better. ]

[He really is. He's shot down multiple helicopters with just a battle rifle.]

[He grins a bit, looking excited because hell yeah, now he knows.]

....how good is your throwing arm?

Pretty damned good. Got something in mind?

Stationary targets are easy.

Curious to see how I do with moving things.

[ Crow grins. ]

Want me to throw some rocks as targets?

Exactly.

Maybe see if I can jungle one in the air.

Alright, let's give it a go.

[ He looks around for a moment until he finds a decent rock-- something small enough to fit in the palm of his hand, maybe about the size of his thumb. ]

You ready?

Ready.

[Holding the gun, ready to fire. Proper form and all.]

[ There's no further warning before he tosses the rock forward, putting a pretty respectable amount of force behind the throw. ]

[That is quite the force and he's moving up the gun, tracking the motions and this time does take a few moments for him to get his target.]

[Then firing, grazing the bottom and sending the rock up into the air. He moves to fire again right away because it's still too low, and misses one shot before getting the other and keeps going. He misses a few shots with the juggle at the beginning, especially with it low, but the farther he gets it up in the air, the more he hits. Can take enough time to aim properly.]

[Managing to keep it up until the rock really is just too small to take the blasts anymore.]

Damn!

[ Crow claps at that, grinning at Wash. ]

Good job! That's pretty impressive.

[He laughs a bit, looking excited and proud.]

Yeah, I think so. [Because it is impressive.] I'll get to get a gun. Maybe see if I can get an Orbal gun, would be easier than counting bullets.

Obviously I'm biased, but I'd definitely say go for it. They're a good investment.

[He nods.]

[And pause.] How lethal are they? Like what happens when they hit a person?

They're less immediately lethal than a gunpowder gun is-- it's a lot easier to safely take someone down without killing them.

[Nods.]

And if I want to take something down permanently? [LISTEN]

[This is a thing he thinks of.]

Any weapon is deadly in the right hands, though if you want more devastating results you'd be better off with a gunpowder gun... Though there you'd have the issue of keeping up with ammo.

[He nods.] .....could also get a knife. If someone is disabled with this, pretty easy to kill if that's necessary.

[Looking at the Orbal gun thoughtfully.]

[ Crow nods in response. ]

A knife's a good backup to have anyway, or else some other kind of bladed weapon.

That's true. Though I can't be sure how good longer blades would be. Hard to mess up a knife too badly.

That's true! And hey, going with what's comfortable's definitely the best idea.

[He nods.]

Thanks, by the way. For showing me the Orbal gun. Even if I can kill, I know a lot of people wouldn't like that to be the go to option with a threat. [He picks up a rock and tosses it up again, shooting it in the air.] And letting me try it out. THis is actually pretty relaxing.

Lethal's always an option but it's nice to have other choices too. And hey, no problem. I can totally relate to that-- sometimes it feels good to let some steam out this way.
