[ The beach fades away all at once, taking the cheery sunshine with it as evening hits all at once-- it melts away in a shower of sparkles as the familiar setting re-emerges. There are new stars in the sky above in clover pink, senna red, jasmine blue, and licorice violet.

Just before the beach disappears entirely, the bubbly voice speaks once more: ]

Wasn't that so much fun! You all rrrrrreally got to know each other, didn't you? Keep up the good work~!

[ If you had any alcohol in hand you still have it, otherwise everything from the trial is gone. ]

[she activates her eyes, she doesn't need a tourniquet to find a good vein when she's got magical x-ray vision.]

[ He glances at the needle for a moment before he rolls up a sleeve and holds his arm out. ]

[She injects him, but starts to Sing a moment after, an inhumanely layered, inhumanly beautiful Song that is deep and mournful, but in the Song, is a compulsion. A command.

[ As a general rule, Crow is amazingly terrible at being obedient to the point of problem. Fortunately, the compulsion works just fine on him and his eyelashes flutter briefly before sliding shut as he gently slouches over, all but dead to the world. ]

[She carefully picks him up and places him on the operating table. She needs a proper surgical room, but this will have to do. She disinfects the skin before making her first incision.

This is a pain to do without assistance in some ways but she manages. The magic helps. She makes it past muscle and reaches his organs and there it is, it's nestled and larger around the middle she can see it, but it will not remain. She reaches into Crow's insides to get it and it tries to swim away, as though sensing that it is danger of losing host and home, but she catches it. It will not be permitted.

She has it.

She puts it into a container she's prepared and snaps the lid shut. Parasites are not typically known for their power, but she takes no chances not knowing what this one is capable of and has reinforced the jar. Looking at it--properly looking at it with her Sight--she can see that is has so many, many teeth. why would it need that many? She counts her blessings that it did not decide to make a home within his liver or his heart or any other place.

She closes him back up, nice and neat and carries him to a clinic bed where she hooks him up to an IV. She needs to let him rest a while, she did give him chemical anesthetic too.]

[ And rest he does. Surgery takes a lot out of you, even if you're asleep for the whole thing. He's out, looking far more peaceful and innocent in his rest than he ever does when he's awake. He's not going to be up until she's ready for him to be. ]

[She will let him sleep it off for however long it takes him to naturally while she embroiders by his bedside.]

[ It's some time before he opens one eye, watching her embroider for a moment before he murmurs sleepily. ]

Done already?

[voreaciously]

Yes. [She stops stitching.]

How are you feeling?

[ He mumbles the words. ]

[honestly, he looks very cute like this, but she's not about to tell him that.]

[ He looks at her blearily. ]

[Her tone is perfectly polite and calm. Nothing about it has changed.

She starts to peel a very tasty looking apple very quickly but just as smooth.]

I'd call it instinct.

[ He'd be leaving the room right about now if he weren't still groggy actually, following that instinct to its natural conclusion of "Time to be anywhere but here." But he's still in the process of waking up, of recovering from surgery, so he's stuck here. ]

She leaves part of the skin on and slices the apple into eighths before coring them and shaping the skin into "bunny ears".

She spears a slice and holds it out for him.]

Ahh.

[ He glances at the slice for a moment before he opens his mouth. ]

[She feeds him the slice.]

You will be a little tired for a while, but outside that, everything is fine. There is not a scar, either.

[ He chews on the slice of apple and swallows before answering. ]

Not even a scar, huh? Damn, you're really good at what you do.

[voreaciously]

I still have a lot to learn.

[She pushes at the bridge of her nose with two fingers before realising something, it seems, but not commenting.

She offers him another slice.]

[ He notices that, files the information away, and doesn't say anything about it. Who knows what might be useful to know in the future?

He accepts the slice, once again finishing the bite before responding. ]

Yeah, obviously. As long as you're still thinking, you've still got plenty to learn.
