EVENT: ORIGIN'S ORIGINS
Who: explorers!
When: Day 31, night
Where: The Jungle
[The sun has gone down when the heroes receive an unmarked message:
Should they look outside, they will in fact see a light -- a thin but bright pillar rising from the overgrown town out in the jungle.
It's still raining, still covered in frogs, but there's definitely something going on.
And in the direction of the beach, there's also a faint, bell-like ringing. But that's not what's calling you right now... is it?]

Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
He doesn't fall over when he gets off, because years of training have beaten into him that if you're conscious you better stay up and moving, but he does seem to just be standing there, trying to catch his breath figuratively and literally.]
no subject
[SHE'S ALARMED. She can barely walk but she's wobbling towards him at the greatest speed she can manage.
this would be comical if this situation weren't so dire.]
no subject
[He's kind of just. Flat about it. He needs a moment to catch his breath, mentally now more than physically.]
no subject
[She's not reaching for it herself because she's tired and also pressing her hands to a bleeding neck wound will end up being the opposite of helping.]
no subject
Do not look at me so. I saw this through, as I told you I would.
no subject
[She shudders a little, and shakes her head.]
I can scarcely believe I've been so ill-prepared.
no subject
[He reaches out, and gently, slowly runs a hand through her hair.]
You needn't be so hard on yourself.
no subject
[She sighs, and leans into his hand, closing her eyes.]
And on another level, it is frustrating, to have pushed myself this hard, and even then...
no subject
[He will continue to pet this yipper until she calms down though.]
no subject
I cannot--will not accept this is the limit of what I can do.
[She's going back in, bruh.]
no subject
[He sighs a bit, then, looking down at her.]
I've reached my limit, for the moment. I cannot join you, though I wish to.
no subject
It's alright. I'll come back for this. For you.
Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
[ raising a hand in hopes of catching his attention - there are so many here the situation's become a bit overwhelming on as little sleep as she's been getting, but this one she should at least make an attempt for, she's sure. ]
- at the very least... I'd like to see to the pain...
Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
[It's not like he can hide it much, he basically got his neck, arms, and torso bound up in vines wit razor-sharp leaves. He's pretty visibly cut up.]
Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
[ and true to her word, once she takes the time to approach and assess the extent of his injuries, she extends a hand to his arm, careful, gingerly -
and with some focus, the pain is... not gone, but numbed considerably, enough to give him some relief. ]
Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
I must say, I deeply appreciate your help.
Re: PREMINGLE PART 2
... For further healing, if I may - I would recommend the blue-haired girl on Jasmine.
