When: day 30, midnight to dawn
Where: the train

[At precisely midnight a clock bell tolls, loud and mournful in the quiet night. An owl screeches, the dramatic chords of an organ start to play then are cut short in a jangle of notes.

If you're awake a hoarse voice growls, it might wake you even if you're asleep.]

Arise, heroes, and sate your hunger.

[Those not sleeping through all this will find a sudden spike in their primal urges. The needs of any form they possess may overcome reason, and the desire to slake thirsts both literal and metaphorical is intense.

If you're a wolf perhaps you want to hunt or draw close to your pack, if your taste is in blood, well. If you're just human it might be that your darker desires, possessiveness or even curiosity get the better of you in ways you don't normally let them. Desires need not be violent or sexually charged, but should be things your characters harbor at least some inclination towards wanting even if they deny it usually. Fluffy desires are still desires.

By morning light the effects will fade. And you'll all feel far less tired than you'd expect for a night partying.]

[ Amnesia means Crow's lost a few levels but honestly he's pretty strong anyway-- fighting at half capacity with only his twin guns, but still pretty damned skilled. Still, fighting the monster does a pretty good job of getting some of that restless energy dealt with, and he lets out a slow exhale when the monster finally goes down. ]

[Rean's still running on an empty tank too, so it's a good thing nothing extra is needed. He'd manage, but it'd be rough on Crow and maybe even Randy.]

Nice going, Crow.

[ He can definitely tell. ]

Caught me. But not as much as you think. I'm still not even at a fraction of full mana.

Yeah, that's not a surprise. You'll really be a sight to see at full power, huh?

[ He can't wait. (He bets it's hot.) ]

[ It might actually be, but Crow can't picture Rean being cool. ]

How long do you think it'll take.

[ He puts his guns away. ]

At the current rate? A long time.

You know, as long as you give me advance warning I wouldn't mind if you took a day or two and took more. I'm okay with a long nap.

I'd rather just take excess. There's no reason to go putting you in a vulnerable position.

Who's vulnerable when I have a big, strong Divine Knight there to protect me?

Buttering me up won't make me do it. That's your life essence. Taking more than you can afford without need is absolutely contrary to... well. Good sense. Our contract. Your best interests. If you have extra any time I'll take it but...

[ He leans in closer to Rean. ]

I still wouldn't mind taking you up on that one.

[Oh. Crow is very close. And he never exactly stopped wanting to kiss him but maybe he shouldn't? He's not entirely sure what he should be doing regarding Crow.]

Well, I'm in okay condition now. It's not like it's a problem currently.

[The answer is apparently: be dumb]

[ Crow leans in even closer, close enough that his lips are brushing against Rean's as he murmurs into them. ]

Maybe that's not the only reason I want to.

Oh...

[There is a giant lizard corpse that should be distracting and they're in a dangerous area but Rean's well aware of the surroundings and and potential ambush even while it feels like all his focus is caught by Crow in his space, his warm breath against his lips.

His heart jumps and he gives into what he wants to do anyway. It seems oddly easier to just pursue this desire suddenly.

He leans that half inch in to press his lips more firmly against Crow's, chasing that teasing promise of warmth from Crow's breath.

He's not thinking, just... reacting, at the moment.]

[ Crow's at least peripherally aware of their surroundings, though not to the extent Rean is by a long stretch. When Rean's lips meet his, Crow drags him in closer, one hand at the small of Rean's back. Rean's lips are soft but the pressure of them is firm, the taste of his mouth every bit as tantalizing as it was the first time. Meanwhile, a wave of desire and arousal is swiftly building up inside of him.

Crow's reacting, but he's also thinking-- thinking of how much he really wants Rean in this moment. ]

[His cheeks heat and distantly he wonders if maybe Naeva was onto something? He's not dwelling on it when he's too busy settling his hands on Crow's hips and deepening the kiss. Tongue bold and surprisingly unshy about licking deeper past Crow's lips, tasting him and experiencing him eagerly.

That he can keenly feel Crow's arousal is certainly fueling his own, his thoughts preoccupied with Crow.]

[ Don't worry about it.

Crow's lips part easily for Rean's tongue and he lightly hums his pleasure, tangling his tongue with Rean's as he explores Crow's mouth. There's a tree visible in the corner of his eye, so Crow angles himself to push Rean in that direction, to get him against the tree and press into him without ever stopping the kiss for even the briefest of moments. ]

[Rean's amenable, trusting Crow to steer him and letting himself be backed up without a sound of protest. His breath catches against Crow's lips when his back hits the trunk, and his fingers squeeze Crow's hips, pulling him forward, flush against Rean.

He's already half hard if Crow presses close enough to feel it. And he's not breaking the kiss if Crow isn't, even as his breath grows fast and short.]

[ Crow is definitely close enough to feel how hard Rean is getting-- he's semi-hard himself, getting harder by the second. He grinds against Rean, brushing against him through their clothes as a jolt of pleasure shoots through him. Now that he's got Rean against the tree his hands are questing, pushing up Rean's shirt to explore his chest. ]

[He gasps, whining against Crow's lips and breaking the kiss at the way Crow feels grinding against him.

It's been a long, long, long time for Rean so the combination of Crow's touches and his arousal feedback is making him... a lot more reactive than a little making out should justify. Plus, there's something about Crow that Rean just... can't help being deeply into.]

[ Crow's very responsive to a positive reception like this-- moreso when he's been starting to feel echoes of Rean's own feelings through the bond of their contract. Obviously it hasn't been that long for Crow-- but you wouldn't know it from the openly hungry look he gives Rean, from the way his hands continue to climb up and explore Rean's chest eagerly, the way he dips his head down to starts nibbling and sucking and working a hickey onto the crook of his neck. ]
