The Eleventh Trial

Where: The Trial Zone

[Just as twilight darkens the clearing, you hear the train's customary shift, the sign of a Trial.

Outside in the clearing, a brick building has appeared. It's shabby, paint peeling from the heavy door, but the windows are full of neon signs advertising various brands of liquor. From inside you can hear the thumping of bass, and the faint sounds of a rowdy rock song.

A voice chimes in, lazy but amused.]

You all know what this is. I'm not "come hither"ing you. Just get in here.

How am I your superior? Of course you have a say. Honestly if you had no say you'd have to call me what I want too, right? So just tell me, what do you want to actually be called?

Please don't make this take another twenty minutes for a resolution and be straight forward.

You are an adult, educator and were once human. And no, it does not work like that, I cannot be familiar with others, but especially my betters, if they wish to with me, then that is fine and I am fine with it. "80H" is fine.

Anyway is "fine" the same as "I prefer it" to you? I'd rather call you what you want, not just what you're fine with.

For example I'm "fine" with instructor but it's definitely not what I prefer.

[Well he'll just??? Believe her? Or even when he doesn't she clearly hates being pushed about shit and he's doing his best to try to be considerate of her wants in the best ways he knows.]

I want to. You seem exceedingly reluctant to say even the littlest bit about yourself or your desires or opinions, I'm grateful you said anything at all to help me understand where you're coming from in both how you address me and how you want to be addressed.

I do not enjoy speaking at all about myself, it is not needed.

It might not be for you since you know yourself but to me if I don't understand I'm just going to keep asking until I do, so I avoid annoying you again.

So it's up to you if you want to give straight answers and save unnecessary time wasting or just not answer things directly until I figure out the exact right way to ask something I guess.

I don't know about you but the second way sounds more frustrating for both of us in the long run. But if it's also what you prefer I'll keep at it.
