[SOMEONE'S GOTTA CATCH UP ON MEMORIES]

[Fang is going to be monopolizing the lounge screen for a couple of minutes while he plays catch up, watching through four memories one after another (all images are full-size on clickthrough!!)-- learning to fight as a preteen from someone he calls "Master," rudely waking up some guy and barking at him to wash up, having a conversation with that same guy that involves terrible violin-playing and exchanging a token of thanks, and learning that Some Girl is being forced out of the city and they're both real unhappy about it]

[...Fang-- or "Zol," as that last memory revealed-- just stares at the blank screen for a moment after the last of the memories fades away, looking a little Overwhelmed and also going not-so-subtly pink]

[Naeva ran a trial and so was out in sunlight all day! That's why, in the lounge, there are two jackals curled up asleep in a seat!

Alternately, you can find her and her new companion in the garden, with some paper and a pencil. She seems to be writing something down, but also she has a jackal stuffed in her coat who's just. Chillin' in there. Napping.]

[The smaller jackal whines and just sort of hides its face under it's paws. The one with the senna-colored collar looks up and squints.]

[ having been out for a good while, the garden isn't really the first place elaine decides to check up on, but she does eventually make her way there - she doesn't care for the effect open spaces tend to have on her nerves, but the flowers even things out a bit; it's uniquely calming to be out among the flowers for a bit, centers her in her intent and purpose in a different way than smoking.

so when she sees naeva she seems decidedly more relaxed than usual. is it the environment? did the absence do her some good?

[She'd begun to wonder if she was the only one left on Senna, to be honest. certainly, it's a little surprising to suddenly see Elaine up and about, enough so the surprise on Naeva's face is truly visible and readable.

The smaller jackal with her--Estelle--has decided to get up and come inspect this stranger. Hello yes do you have pets.]

...I am trying to think of what food crops could be grown here. If I write them down, then it becomes easier to purchase seeds than just relying on my memory.

[A long pause.] Since I don't need to eat food and am a hunter and obligate carnivore aside, it's a little difficult to think of things.

[Her ear just flicked. She didn't even move.]

[ Is it memory time? I think it's memory time.

Crow's going to fling five memories out into the wind-- the first one involves gambling with children, the second one is a rock concert (featuring: do not let Crow pick your costumes, it will go badly), the third involves conning some guy out of 50 mira, the fourth is about motorcycles-- though they keep calling it an "orbal bike", and the fifth is a study date featuring Crow teaching about CPR.

For his part, Crow plays each memory in succession-- he's definitely a little bit younger in all of them than he is now (maybe a year or two younger). He looks interested as each one hits him, but when he's done he picks up a book and starts reading it. ]

[...She was asleep in the lounge, so the memories woke her up. She stared at them with something akin to curiosity and intense judgement.

Once the CPR one happens she just swivels her gaze to stare at Crow.

[ He can feel the judging eyes on him-- not to mention see her from the corner of his eye-- so he looks up at her over the cover of his book and smiles innocently. ]
