Event: Mirror Image

When: Day 19 evening and on

[As darkness falls in the jungle, an unusually chill breeze rustles through the trees. In its wake is silence, the purified fauna going quiet as if in dread.

Is it just you, or is the night darker tonight?

You may find the cause if you leave the train. Those who are caught alone outside will see the shadows grow suddenly long. The darkness coalesces into a vaguely human form, vague and faceless but radiating cold.

Before you can react the shadows surround you. Deep within, your most bitter, unpleasant feelings rise up in your chest. It's overwhelming, threatening to consume you, but just before it can it suddenly stops. The shadows recoil, dissipating into the jungle.

You're safe, but those negative feelings might be closer to the surface than usual.

Good luck, especially if you're one of the newbies just waking up.]

[NOTES: This event will OOCly end on Wednesday, but feel free to ICly push time forward as much as you like. There will be a followup post at that time, and you can schedule player-run trials any time after.

The emotional effect of this event can be as severe as you want. Your character could just be a bit grumpy, or they could find their emotions totally out of control. The effect lasts a couple of hours or until the character counters it with happier feelings.]

[ Honestly, he's still pretty far gone-- he barely got his shit together enough to pull that off. And then all at once-- she's surrounding him, riding him-- warm and wet and everything he needs in this moment. [She rolls her eyes, unseen, but tsks. As for the cleanup, you know she will get you.

She leans to nibble and suck at the juncture of his neck and shoulder with every intention of leaving a hickie. Still close, she speaks her tone faintly pleased.

[She leaves a second one, and a third before trailing lazy kisses across his collar bone and upper chest before settling there a little, resting her chin on her hands.]

[ He doesn't know how long "some time" is but it's all relative when your memory doesn't even fill a month's worth of time. ]

Then why didn't you do it sooner?

[She knows the why, but it's hard to imagine it mattering now when she is feeling aggressive, assertive, and domineering.]

[Her tone is sweetly vague and she finds another spot on his neck to suck. He may be spent, but that is not going to stop her from decorating him as she pleases.]

[ He doesn't seem to mind, actually angling his head so she's got better access to his neck. ]

But, even if he didn't seem done for a while, there are refractory periods to consider. The edges of her irritation are filed off by the afterglow, but still present nonetheless, and she goes back to resting her chin on folded arms, quite a departure from the menace she was moments ago.

She raises her fingers and twirls them and a pair of ballerinas made of water dance together on Crow's skin. Their steps dainty and leaving pinpricks of gentle chill in their wake.]

[ He hums an acknowledgement, shivering only momentarily as he watches the figures dance in delicate patterns along his flesh. ]

That sounds good to me.

[ He's really into this more forceful side of her. ]

[It's almost dismissive. It's not that she doesn't care about his opinion as much as she expects everything to come to be a foregone conclusion.

One of the dancers looks suspiciously like Elaine if you squint really, really hard. The other would be unfamiliar (but it's Maribel). After dancing together, Elaine breaks away only to be chased by Maribel.]
