Event: Mirror Image

[As darkness falls in the jungle, an unusually chill breeze rustles through the trees. In its wake is silence, the purified fauna going quiet as if in dread.

Is it just you, or is the night darker tonight?

You may find the cause if you leave the train. Those who are caught alone outside will see the shadows grow suddenly long. The darkness coalesces into a vaguely human form, vague and faceless but radiating cold.

Before you can react the shadows surround you. Deep within, your most bitter, unpleasant feelings rise up in your chest. It's overwhelming, threatening to consume you, but just before it can it suddenly stops. The shadows recoil, dissipating into the jungle.

You're safe, but those negative feelings might be closer to the surface than usual.

Good luck, especially if you're one of the newbies just waking up.]

[NOTES: This event will OOCly end on Wednesday, but feel free to ICly push time forward as much as you like. There will be a followup post at that time, and you can schedule player-run trials any time after.

The emotional effect of this event can be as severe as you want. Your character could just be a bit grumpy, or they could find their emotions totally out of control. The effect lasts a couple of hours or until the character counters it with happier feelings.]

[ wow it's not the first time he's woken up in a train :^) usually it's in black though, not pink.

and much like the last time, it's not going so well. his brain is fried, there's nothing going on up there that results in anything good—there are reasons for this, but...

he's a hair from setting fire to the train, and absolutely 100% is about to do that. he's on the lookout for something to start a fire with. luckily he has to talk to himself first. ]

[Waking up after several days of hiatuscoma absence feels Weird, ugh. And leaving the train to get some fresh air had unfortunate results, so now Sora's feeling even weirder. This is not a good evening.

Normally, he does his best to keep any sulking to his room since, y'know, saving the world with positive feelings and all that. But tonight, he's going to wallow in his misery in public.

Sora can be found either A ) Sitting in a low window and staring off at nothing(?) in the general direction of the jungle for like an hour, or B ) Walking along the train's roof and singing some kind of upbeat pop song... in a soft voice, because heaven forbid he be completely inconsiderate.]

[He has a lot of feelings about someone new in pink and a lot of them are bad and he's already feeling bad but he has the self-control to just bite it and be a normal level jerk and not a high level asshole.]

like it might be silly looking, but there is a very, very clear intent in his posture that he's an inch from testing out if he can run someone through with a frying pan like a sword. ]
