mingle!

Who: anyone!
When: Day 6, morning
Where: the lounge carriage (or, like, wherever, I'm not your boss)

[What's shakin', heroes? That sure was a trial last night, huh? What's on the agenda this morning-- still exploring, for new folks? Having team talks in light of having two trials'-worth of info on how this stuff is gonna go? Cooking something up in the public kitchen? Taking memories or testing out new powers? Playing with new purchases from the sparks shop? Just hanging out in the lounge? You do you; everyone's gotta find their own path on their magical interdimensional spacetrain journey.]

I am not certain what is meant by "anti-bacterial."

Do you know what bacteria are? Cells?

I don't know what you're talking about.

[Stop making me feel stupid :(]

Well, basically anti-bacterial medication will help prevent infection if you get an injury. Bacteria are microorganisms that are too small to see just by looking, but they can be enough to make a person sick if they get into the wrong part of the body.

And these are physical animals?

Yes and no? They're physical, real, non-magical and alive things, but they're not animals. Animals are multicellular, whereas bacteria are unicellular. A human body is made of trillions of cells, to give some idea of the scale difference.

It gets elaborately complicated when you get down to smaller and smaller scales, but there's bacteria that are supposed to be in our body, too. There's bacteria on our skin, in our mouths, and in our gut tracts— but if they get into the wrong part of the body, then you can get sick. That's why we wash our hands in the bathroom or when cooking, why there's topical antibacterial medication in the clinic, and why medical tools should be sterilized.
